Why stay here ...

A warm friendly  welcome awaits you at Burn Farm Adult Only CL, set on our small working family farm. Our quiet, secluded CL, on the North Devon/Cornwall border is an ideal location for touring both counties with the coastal town of Bude approximately 5 miles away with both sandy beaches and rugged rocky coastline, ideal for both surfers and beach lovers or walkers and siteseers.

Bude itself offers a good range of shops including supermarkets, a leisure pool, bowling alley. leisure centre, a golf course and numerous restaurants and country pubs.

The South West Coastal Path can also be accessed from Bude which takes you either north towards Clovelly or south towards Boscastle and Tintagel. Approximately 7 miles away there is also a small cinema. The Tamar Lakes Country Park is approximately 7 miles away which offers watersports, course fishing and a 3 miles cycle track which can also be walked.

RHS Rosemoor is another popular attraction approximately 20 miles away along with the Eden Project which is approximately 40 miles away. Numerous National Trust Properties are also within easy reach as is Exmoor and Dartmoor and the larger shopping centres of Barnstaple, Plymouth and Exeter. The south coast of Devon or Cornwall is also within easy driving distance, with Looe, for example, being approximately 45 miles away.

The site is adjacent to a large woodland walk which is a haven for wildlife of all kinds and is made up of a wide variety of trees and one of the main reasons many of our visitors return to us year after year. Well behaved dogs and cats are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times and all mess picked up, including within our woodland and farm lanes.

On approaching our farm entrance you will clearly see our Burn Farm sign along with the Club CL sign. The site is down a tarmac drive, with passing places. Please call at the farmhouse (NOT the bungalow) at the bottom of the lane, before entering the site. The site gateway is 11 - 12 feet wide.

Our site is approximately one acre with the first quarter of the field being hardstanding (grass over stone chippings) where metal pegs are required for awnings, which is ideal for motor homes and for wetter weather. This makes us an ideal out-of-season CL.

We offer full recycling facilities and also a ground level chemical disposal point. Information Packs are available for all our visitors and seasonal home grown produce is for sale at the farmhouse.

Golf course less than 5 miles away.

Our site is ideal for bird watching and star gazing and the area is perfect for geocaching and we are geocachers ourselves.

WiFi access is free and subject to availability. If not available at site is available by farmhouse.

Coarse fishing is available on the Bude Canal which is about 4 miles away.

Lovely site.

Burn Farm
We have just returned from a long weekend away staying at this cl. I can only echo what previous members have written. Can highly recommend sandy mouth bay for a great beach walk only a few miles away and a national Trust beach so no charge for parking if your a member. Although the electric may be limited to 10 units a day we only used about 15 for the three days so so long as you go steady not a problem at all. Thank you for an enjoyable stay. Will definitely return. Ian and Kathy.

Excellent CL with warm welcome

Burn Farm
This is a nice CL and Mandy who looks after the CL with husband Brian is really welcoming and friendly and full of knowledge of places of interest to visit - Bude is 10 minutes away and is lovely for a stroll around - the CL is really good value and the electric is metered and you are allowed 10 units a day, we showered and cooked with electricity and we only used 4 units a day, so I like this way of doing things as it’s fairer for both parties, also great dog walk through the trees which our terrier loved Also entry is via an electrically controlled gate which is nice for security - would recommend this CL

Lovely CL

Burn Farm
Access to site is easy and off a good B road. We had a warm welcome from Mandy who gave us an information pack and the number for the security gate. The site is a quiet, peaceful and well maintained. We appreciated the private woodland to walk round with its mown paths. Supermarkets are quite near as is the lovely town of Bude with its lovely beaches and sea pool. There is lots to see and do on the area Thank you for a lovely holiday and for the fantastic weather which we don't usually get. We will certainly use the CL again if in area and highly recommend the site.

Burn farm cl great time

Burn Farm
We were greeted by Mandy, Brian and Rolo the dog. Shown to our hard standing pitch and the facilities. Given an information pack. Hubby took our Dog for a walk around the enclosed wood on the site after our journey and we settled in. There was only 3 of us n the site and it was lovely and quiet only noise was the birds. Site secured by electronic gate with a pass code. Mandy and Brian were always happy to chat and give us information about the area. Included Tamer Lakes about 6 miles away. Note, it took us 2 hours to walk around seemed more than 2 miles. Mandy grew some delicious Tomatoes which we much appreciated. Would definitely stay here again.

A good two weeks, despite weather!

Burn Farm
A lovely site, but we arrived on the day the beautiful weather broke and we struggled for sunshine. There again, we live very east and this is very west, so perhaps more to be expected. We did warn Mandy on arrival that we didn’t usually bring good weather with us, but she was grateful for any rain on her garden! The site is large, peaceful, well maintained and very accessible for the coast. Dog owners seemed to appreciate the lovely walk through the adjoins woods. Sign of the times maybe, we struggled to find a pub open at lunch time or early evening, except later in the week or at weekends. The nearby Red Post inn is better inside than it looks outside and does delicious fish and chips! Eat in or take away. Morrisons and Lidl in Bude. Nice walk by Bude Canal and a fascinating free museum nearby. Mandy gave us a local info pack on arrival. But it was a commercial pack, maybe more suitable for children, which aren’t allowed on this site. Maybe more personal info re local places to eat, drink, shop, visit would be better for complete strangers to the area? But Mandy was always on hand to offer advice and have a chat! A good holiday. We enjoyed a relaxing break.
