Lovely site.

We have just returned from a long weekend away staying at this cl. I can only echo what previous members have written. Can highly recommend sandy mouth bay for a great beach walk only a few miles away and a national Trust beach so no charge for parking if your a member. Although the electric may be limited to 10 units a day we only used about 15 for the three days so so long as you go steady not a problem at all. Thank you for an enjoyable stay. Will definitely return. Ian and Kathy.

Excellent CL with warm welcome

This is a nice CL and Mandy who looks after the CL with husband Brian is really welcoming and friendly and full of knowledge of places of interest to visit - Bude is 10 minutes away and is lovely for a stroll around - the CL is really good value and the electric is metered and you are allowed 10 units a day, we showered and cooked with electricity and we only used 4 units a day, so I like this way of doing things as it’s fairer for both parties, also great dog walk through the trees which our terrier loved Also entry is via an electrically controlled gate which is nice for security - would recommend this CL

Lovely CL

Access to site is easy and off a good B road. We had a warm welcome from Mandy who gave us an information pack and the number for the security gate. The site is a quiet, peaceful and well maintained. We appreciated the private woodland to walk round with its mown paths. Supermarkets are quite near as is the lovely town of Bude with its lovely beaches and sea pool. There is lots to see and do on the area Thank you for a lovely holiday and for the fantastic weather which we don't usually get. We will certainly use the CL again if in area and highly recommend the site.

Burn farm cl great time

We were greeted by Mandy, Brian and Rolo the dog. Shown to our hard standing pitch and the facilities. Given an information pack. Hubby took our Dog for a walk around the enclosed wood on the site after our journey and we settled in. There was only 3 of us n the site and it was lovely and quiet only noise was the birds. Site secured by electronic gate with a pass code. Mandy and Brian were always happy to chat and give us information about the area. Included Tamer Lakes about 6 miles away. Note, it took us 2 hours to walk around seemed more than 2 miles. Mandy grew some delicious Tomatoes which we much appreciated. Would definitely stay here again.

A good two weeks, despite weather!

A lovely site, but we arrived on the day the beautiful weather broke and we struggled for sunshine. There again, we live very east and this is very west, so perhaps more to be expected. We did warn Mandy on arrival that we didn’t usually bring good weather with us, but she was grateful for any rain on her garden! The site is large, peaceful, well maintained and very accessible for the coast. Dog owners seemed to appreciate the lovely walk through the adjoins woods. Sign of the times maybe, we struggled to find a pub open at lunch time or early evening, except later in the week or at weekends. The nearby Red Post inn is better inside than it looks outside and does delicious fish and chips! Eat in or take away. Morrisons and Lidl in Bude. Nice walk by Bude Canal and a fascinating free museum nearby. Mandy gave us a local info pack on arrival. But it was a commercial pack, maybe more suitable for children, which aren’t allowed on this site. Maybe more personal info re local places to eat, drink, shop, visit would be better for complete strangers to the area? But Mandy was always on hand to offer advice and have a chat! A good holiday. We enjoyed a relaxing break.

Really nice CL

Without a doubt this cl is on top of my list for a return , both owners Mandy and Brian , are very friendly and helpful , site itself is kept very tidy with well cut lawns etc , wildlife wood opposite to walk dogs which must be on lead due to wildlife, which is fair enough, very peaceful and secure , would recommend the Weir for a nice meal , overlooking a lake , and Bude etc within very easy reach

A CL to recommend

We stayed at Burn Farm from 6th-23rd June 2023. We were fortunate to have some very good weather too. Good directions and easy to find location. Electric gates make it quite a secure site. Mandy is very welcoming and we enjoyed chatting to her. We were amazed that the charge was just £15pn as so many CL’s are now far more expensive. The £15 includes 10 units of electricity and you only pay extra if you go over. We used 7 units per day so we were very pleased with that so no extra charge. The grass was kept short and there is a little woodland you can walk around in. We particularly liked that there is full recycling here too. Bude is easy to travel to for beautiful beaches and the wonderful Sea Pool, coastal walking, independent shops etc. We recommend Pengenna Pasties for made and cooked on site Tiddyoggy’s. 😋 and we had several wonderful ice creams just up the road from there with seats provided to sit and savour their many different flavours. There are a lot of little coves and beaches within east reach and great countryside. Lydford Gorge and White Lady Falls is spectacular. We enjoyed a visit to Launceston Castle which is quite different. A trip north to Appledore Harbour on the River Torrington which is very quaint and then we visited Bideford while in the area too. Tintagel and Boscastle are a must. We had an amazing holiday and hope to return again one day. Great location for a great little CL.

What a lovely little gem!

We had a great 4 nights at this beautiful, peaceful CL with its own woodland and well located, for the amazing rugged beaches. A perfect break and the best time, thank you again, Mandy and Brian. See you soon, Paul and June.

2 Week Stay September 2022

We had a lovely stay here & would recommend the site to anyone wanting to visit this area of Cornwall. Plenty of places to explore without travelling too far. The site itself is very peaceful, plenty of dog walking area in the 6 acre woods. We had a lot of rain in the first week, the ground stood up to it well with no issues at all. Thank you Mandy & Brian for a lovely stay, we will be back.
