A lovely warm welcome by Jane, all explained in her welcome pack. So much to see and marvel, we discovered a really great wet fishmonger, Devon and Cornwall fishery in Appledore, super friendly and helpful guys, with great fresh fish 🐠 . A great place to explore from and return to peace and tranquility, thanks Jane, you’re in our faves now
Just come back from a 2 week stay, thankyou Jane so much nothing is too much trouble whether you just want a chat or local information, we had a lovely time, the site is wonderful with lovely views, it's got 3 fishing lakes was a bit harder to fish but in the heat we had, I think the fish all hid. its in a perfect location to go anywhere for site seeing and supermarkets close by too, but if you want to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet this is the place,
A narrow approache to this site which has good views, well cut grass and friendly owners. Recycling is in operation. In an area with plenty of places to visit, walk and cycle. Bideford is the nearest town with supermarkets selling fuel and a choice of other shops and eating places Barnstaple is in the opposite direction (is bigger than Bideford) and calling at Fremington Quay with its cafe is worth a visit. Westward Ho! is known for its surf and the Pebble Ridge there are also small supermarkets, fish and chips and Hockings icecreams!!
Pyewell Farm CL has magnificent views over some of the hills of North Devon. You can walk though the farmyard down to 3 fishing lakes. There are walking paths around the fishing lakes, up into the woods and onto the sheep fields. Jane and Bunty are fabulous CL owners and we particularly enjoyed Jane sharing the details of the 16th century farmhouse with us, complete with ghost stories! We kept an eye out, but never encountered the ghosts! We have visited many CLs in the years we have been caravanning and this was one of the best we have visited. Fantastic views with excellent hosts, we left Pyewell Farm CL refreshed and relaxed. Thank you Jane & Bunny.
After 3 months of self isolation from the Covid virus, my wife and I needed a change of scenery. We could not have chosen a more suitable site than the one at Pyewell Farm which is peaceful with lovely scenery. We had a warm welcome from Jane the site owner who helped us with our enquiries about places to visit. It was very windy when we arrived and as the CL site is exposed to the prevailing winds, Jane allowed us to use a hardstanding on a lower site near one of the lakes which was delightful. We shall look forward to staying there again later this year.
