Tranquil and relaxing location

Willow Pond
We have just had the most relaxing and amazing weekend at this fantastic site. Emma could not have been any more pleasant or helpful. The site is picturesque, tranquil and excellantly looked after. There are two toilets, one male, one female - spotless and like home from home, and a spotless private shower. The friendly wildlife - ducks and geese are an added bonus. The final bonus is the lake in the middle of the site - all pitches have a lakeside view. There is also a communal fire pit, and numerous picnic tables and chairs around site. If you fish, this is ideal, with several fishing platforms around the lake, and while there we saw numerous fish being caught. Some other reviews mention noise from the main roads, but to be honest, we did not notice this at all, and were one of the pithces nearest to it

Fabulous site, immaculate!

Willow Pond
I was just leaving a review , (the one below) and somehow concluded it before finishing. Sorry. Cont…. Emma and Darren put a lot of effort in to making this a very special site. There are so many different trees around the site as well as established. All have the grass trimmed. There is a fire pit for social get togethers, many benches, some with seat pads, and eating tables with parasols all dotted around the site. Behind our pitch was a fabulous circular table and chairs with parasol for group dining. Such lovely attention to detail. We didn’t use the shower block or toilets as we are still shielding however were told they were to a very high standard. The site has lamps to create lovely evening lighting around the lake which go out at 11 pm. The water fountain creates a beautiful scene and sound too. Overall fabulous site and we highly recommend a visit… or should it be kept as a well known secret! 🤫😉

Fabulous Site, immaculate!

Willow Pond
Just returned from a fabulous stay at this amazing site. Warm greeting from Maria on arrival. Choice of pitches, absolutely beautiful site around the lake and immaculately kept. Ducks, rabbits and geese all around with ducklings around the caravan and so tame. There is some road noise but the site is so beautiful it is so worthwhile. We highly recommend a visit. Emma and Darren are very accommodating and we look forwards to returning.

A beautiful oasis, just perfect.

Willow Pond

Beautiful site, with pitches near the lake. A lot of work clearly goes in to keeping this beautiful CL in tip top condition with beautiful shrubs and mature trees. The highlight is chilling and watching the wildlife. Lots of species with geese and ducks (and gorgeous ducklings, due to the time of year). A really chilled location where it is difficult to do much but relax, walk around the lake and just enjoy the surroundings. Super clean toilets and shower. We will be returning very soon. Thanks to Emma and Darren who have created something reallly special here ssshhhh  Liz & Neil Fox

A little gem!

Willow Pond
We stayed here from 15/03/24 - 19/03/24 in order to visit friends and family close by. The access is down a small country lane, but only a couple of hundred yards off the main road. We have a large 8’ wide caravan twin axle which we easily negotiated the entrance to the site. All information about our pitch was clearly stated on a board at the reception and we found it all well marked out and accessed by a lovely gravelled road. The pitches are all hard standing with electric hook up. There were leads in place to account for guests not having long enough leads to reach the electric posts which was so thoughtful. The hard standing was soft enough to peg an awning in with minimal effort, but remained intact whilst we encountered a strong windy evening! The views from the pitches are all looking at the large pond and bridge which is beautiful. I’ve never had such a lovely vista from the caravan before, and we have been caravanning a long time! The grounds are beautiful with copious lawns and flowers, and there are ducks, geese, and rabbits running around adding to the beauty. At night, the antique lamp posts light the surroundings making it easy to reach your van. All cars are left in the car park after unloading making for a vehicle free area. There are two toilets on site, one gents and one ladies. The ladies is beautifully decorated with a pretty wicker chair to compliment. There is also a separate unisex shower and toilet room with a very large walk in shower. It is a short walk from the CL site to access these, so if you don’t use your own facilities just be aware. The reception has lots of information and owners Emma and Darren are available for any help. You can hear the traffic from the A63, but it’s not a deal breaker! This is a gem of a CL with such pretty surroundings and we hope to return very soon.
