Shame about the noise review?

Common Farm
We were also on our very first visit to this site and arrived the day when the owners had a family get together on the Sunday afternoon (18th Aug) and feel the review by way2lander was somewhat harsh. All we heard was the delightful sounds of children enjoying themselves in a paddling pool and subdued adult laughter, certainly not loud or at a level to disturb us. Mrs Wilkinson did come over the following day to say their son had a family house warming party and hoped we weren't disturbed to much by the noise. In addition she gave us info regarding the local area, including how to park for free at the Beverley Race course. There was even OS maps available to borrow in the information box plus walks on the Wolds. Yes, we did hear an occasional dog bark (whether from the farm or dogs on numerous pitches on site we couldn't tell), but certainly no more than you would expect from a working farm. We found this a lovely, tranquil and well kept site (tap on every pitch!) with great local walks, we will most certainly be revisiting.

Site Only

Common Farm
Lets talk about the site, as a CL its very good large level field with closely mown grass. Easy access in and out of the field. Now lets mention the free on site fishing. If like myself and a fellow caravaner, if you book the site for the fishing then don't there is no on site fishing. Instead you will be informed of a pond about a mile away which is not free. So come on Mr. and Mrs Wilkinson stop the false advertising and inform the Caravan Club so that your listing can be amended. Until then please when a member contacts you for a pitch tell them in advance there is no on site fishing. Thank you

Shame about the noise

Common Farm
Well kept site with spacious pitches. Very easy access onto the site with clear directions. Lots of dog barking and family noise coming from owners garden. Such a shame, but a lovely site spoiled with the noise. Could be just a one off due to the sunny weather.

Wonderful CL

Common Farm
Such a lovely CL to stay on for our first visit to Yorkshire. Definitely coming back. Access is good, the site is level and well kept. We liked having our own water tap so no lugging the Aquaroll around. York park and Ride is 20 minutes up the road and Bridlington just under an hour.
