Common Farm
We spent 3 nights at Common Farm. A well placed and well kept site comprising of a very large field with EHU and water to each pitch. No hardstanding but the ground was firm even after several down pours during our stay. The short cut grass helps with this I am sure. The site is alongside a bridleway which I am sure would make a good dog walk. There is a lovely walk direct from the site which is a couple of hours and several more are highlighted on the maps you can borrow for the purpose. Cycling is good with plenty of hills f you want them and a decent flat ride if you prefer. Sally kindly allowed us to put our bikes in the shed which meant no awning required :-) Sally is very friendly, (we didn't meet Graham) it is certainly a site we would use again. The photos show the site some years ago, it is now enclosed by a medium height hedge and small trees making it very pleasant and secluded.

Common Farm
A wonderful site , we leave tomorrow after a week of outstanding enjoyment! A great welcome from Sally and Graham. Ideal for dogs , and local attractions. The Goodmanham arms is quirky and enjoyable . The Indian restaurant just up the road is outstanding! Planning our return before we leave must be a recommendation!!!

Excellent Site

Common Farm
Only staying one night on our way from Norfolk to Seahouses, which is a shame because it is a lovely little site and so well placed for exploring. Huge pitches with electricity and water provided. Great on site dog walk through farmland. Our dogs loved it. Some of these little sites are so much better than the big busy ones. Will definitely come back here.

Common Farm
This is an ideal cl, everything you need is there. great dog walk on site as well as other footpaths and bridleways a short hop away. Easy access off the main A1079 road and 5 minutes down the lane.Plenty of quiet roads for cycling and a very peaceful site, disregard the comment re children's party on one afternoon. Sally and Graham very welcoming and hospitable.

Tidy peaceful CL

Common Farm
After reading review regarding noise we were a little sceptical about using Common Farm but as it was a late booking and was in the area we wanted we decided to book. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed by Graham and pitched on No 1 which was slightly sloping front to back but nothing to worry about, the other pitches appear to be the same and the grass was well mown so no wet doggy feet in the van. As we were there for 12 nights we saw quite a few people come and go and every time one left Graham came round and mowed the vacant pitch and don’t know where the mower was from but it was the quietest we’ve heard. Sally was very welcoming and friendly, meeting all new people on arrival. The only noise we heard was the wonderful dawn chorus and saw an assortment of beautiful birds on the site and in the air with red kites ,I walked the dog down to the lake and a buzzard took off from the field. Walking down the Lane one morning we saw 5 deer in the field, so if you want a quiet well kept site that’s handy for York, Driffield,Beverley, and Bridlington with a friendly Yorkshire welcome give it a try.
