A near perfect CL!

Danebury
This is pretty close to everything you’d want from a CL, well maintained, flat, fully serviced pitch with your own dustbin, ponies for neighbours, friendly owners, great local pubs and the New Forest on your doorstep! We had a fabulous 5 days here our first time in the area, we loved being out in the Forest. We did the Tall Trees walk and walked from the site following one of the maps provided in the Information Hut. If you have children (or dogs) the river around the Puttles Bridge Car park is great for paddling and picnicing! We ate at the local pub a couple of times and had Sunday lunch at the Hare and Hounds at Sway, both dog friendly. We also had a very reasonably priced drink sat outside the social club one night after a walk in the forest. There is a local shop, Londis, who bake pastries every morning, which became very addictive! Lots of other shops in New Milton including an M&S Food. We’d definitely return!

Fabulous CL

Danebury
We’ve just spent 28 days at Danebury CL and it’s really lovely. The owners are very nice and all the information is there for you on arrival, so you can knock on and set up on your pitch. The site itself is nicely kept and roomy with your own general waste bin and water tap. We enjoyed watching the owners looking after their animals so well. The site is set within easy drive of lovely towns and the seaside, and is good for cycling and walking if you don’t wish to use the car. And on top of all that, the Wi-Fi is good. Recommend and want to visit again.

Better this if you can

Danebury
What an amazing place, a level site plenty of space for 5 vans, each pitch with own water supply, rubbish bin and electric, but also baskets of bedding plants to enjoy at each pitch. Being gardeners in a big way watering a few plants daily was a joy. The site is very clean and adjacent to a paddock so one can enjoy seeing their three horses galloping around. Finding the site was easy as was the access, the place was really brilliant. We certainly aim to revisit, but we will remember to book early for unsurprisingly the site is very busy. Mike and Sue are very friendly and approachable which made our stay very pleasant. There are no large supermarkets nearby but the local shops around the area were able to keep us well supplied. The nearest about a mile away. Dropping into one on the way back after a day out was easy as there seems to be one near every route back. Book early.
