Very warm and friendly welcome. Lovely situation and surroundings. Sheep in adjacent field and lots of diff wild birds to watch. Levelling blocks were needed and tv signal was not good. Otherwise lovely place and are booking to go again.

Perfect CL for us

Butlers Wood Farm
We stayed here for 5 nights over May Bank Holiday. Despite the rain when we arrived  and Mrs Hillier's poorly knee, we were given the ideal welcome. Stay at the top of the field if you want tv reception. We stayed at the bottom and were treated to sheep and lamb 'TV' instead, along with nesting blue tits in adjacent box, blackbirds and wrens. One morning at breakfast we were treated to a baby deer in our field. This is our ideal CL. Everything we need and nothing we don't for a peaceful break away from it all. At a Bank Holiday w/e with gorgeous weather, as it turned out, we were there with just one other couple. There are electric hook ups here, so CL lovers book in! We shall certainly return!

Lovely CL

Butlers Wood Farm
We were made very welcome by the owners. It is a large sloping site with small trees planted to give interest, looking at the fields with sheep and cattle grazing and with hills in the distance. The chickens run free, are very friendly and if you throw bread once they know to come back next time you appear. The electric points are quite close together so bring two cables to give greater pitching choices. We will certainly return. Mottisfont abbey is within walking distance as is Kimbridge farm shop and cafe/restaurant. The Javs.
