Buntingford Certificated Locations

Situated on the River Rib, Buntingford is a traditional English market town in East Hertfordshire.

It has a central conservation area that's a designated area of outstanding architectural and historical interest.

Highlights include the almshouses, which were erected in 1684; the Cage, an 18th-century jail cell that was used to hold drunks and criminals for short periods of time; and the town clock, which dates to the early 1600s.

Buntingford's market day is Monday, and local events include the bi-annual Carnival and the annual classic car event, which is held in the early autumn. There's also the World Sausage Tossing Championship, which is held annually in the garden of the local Countryman Inn.
