Peaceful and Stunning

Singleton House Farm
If you want peace, tranquility and lovely scenery this is the place for you. We certainly love it here, we have been before. As long as we have water, electricity hook up that's all we need. We can walk Frankie our old English Sheepdog in the field, kept on a lead though because of the sheep. We can buy eggs too. If you want all the amenities, bigger site, noisier then it's not for you, but for us it was far from the maddening crowd so to speak. You see the sheep the geese and hear the silence. Love it, will come again if possible.

Singleton House Farm
It’s a lovely site easy access to ribchester no problems checking in This is our 1st time using a CL site and was pleasantly surprised Only downside was the toilet need a bit of TLC but didn’t spoil our stay And will definitely come again .great views and loved watching the lambs in the field

Stunning 360 views and very close to town

Singleton House Farm
First time on this site - have tried to book a couple of times but they have always been full. Managed to get a two night weekend stay and arrived on a very cold February morning. The site is on a working farm has amazing views all around. Owner very friendly and met us on our arrival. Only 10 minute walk into Ribchester where there is a little supermarket and three pubs which all do food and are all dog friendly. We will definitely be back.

Mixed bag on this site but bad just outweighs the good

Singleton House Farm
Pros Peaceful, beautiful scenery, water and waste facilities easy to access Very cheap only £10 per night Cons No organisation of the site on arrival just pay and fit where possible. Hardstanding overgrown and no longer viable under the grass, resulting in people parking anywhere, mainly lengthways at the side of the main runway. Electric hook up only on right of the pitch sites so if on the left as we were then the electrical hookup cable runs accoss main run way for traffic to drive over. No dog walks from the site. This may be great for some but not for us, we would not be looking to return

Scenic gem

Singleton House Farm
Set on a ridge just above the old Roman fort village of Ribchester, this peaceful site offers sweeping views over the Ribble valley, including Pendle Hill to the east. The site is mainly level, with a tarmaced drive down the middle and rough hard standing on each side. It's also generally peaceful, apart from the odd noisy vehicle on the normally quiet road that goes past the site. There are two hookup points next to the adjacent field, with two outlets each, and although there were only three of us there, it would not feel crowded with another two. The farmer was notably friendly, and while you are there you can watch the sheep and four white geese in the field, and in summer swallows nest in the farm outhouses and swoop around catching insects. If you are into walking, there are numerous paths to choose from, and one goes straight past the CL entrance. Ribchester is just a 5 minute walk down the road, and as well as the Roman remains and museum, the White Bull does meals and some tasty real ales. Very reasonable at £10 a night - although we never did find the toilet. If coming from the M6, the easiest way is to leave at J31A then go via Longridge.
