Dereham Certificated Locations

Located in the heart of Norfolk, Dereham is a historic town that dates back to before the Saxon period.

Although many of Dereham's oldest buildings were destroyed by a fire in the 17th century, some architectural highlights remain. These include the church of St Nicholas and Bishop Bonner's Cottage, which serves as a museum. There are also several beautiful examples of Georgian architecture in the middle of town.

Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse is a great place for a family day out. The 50-acre site includes a traditional farm, a museum about life on the land, a large gallery space, beautiful grounds and an adventure playground.

The town is also the headquarters of the Mid-Norfolk Railway, one of the longest heritage railways in Great Britain.
