Harleston Certificated Locations

The town of Harleston is situated in Norfolk, close to the border with Suffolk near the River Waveney and just on the edge of the scenic Waveney Valley.

It has a long history, which visitors can still see evidence of along the narrow streets with timber-framed and Georgian buildings. There is also a market place dating back to 1369, which still houses stalls offering produce, clothing and much more every Wednesday.

You can learn more about Harleston at the museum - open Wednesday and Saturday from May until September - or on a free downloadable audio trail featuring fascinating commentary from local people to help you find hidden tourist gems.

The town offers an array of eateries so you won't have any trouble finding refreshments, and it has an excellent programme of community events that adds up to something going on most weeks.

Other local and nearby highlights include walking routes in the Waveney Valley, wildlife parks, an aviation museum and two breweries.
