WOW

Hill Farm
Yes WOW... CL owners are so laid back and friendly, (didn't even pay until day 2, as on arrival it was "o don't worry about that we'll see you later") this was our second CL on joining the CC. Comment from number 2 son "dad the shower is just like showering at home" and I must totally agree, very clean and maintained shower block and the site is well recommended. On day 2 we took ourselves of for a days kayaking on the river Waveney, local hire site a few miles up the A143. Third day was spent at the Suffolk and Norfolk aviation museum which is only 4 miles away again just up the A143 with free entry just a donation if you please and yes you will please as its a fantastic site, our evenings were spent relaxing looking at the cows and sheep in the next fields. This site is on the MUST return list.

lovely site

Hill Farm

The site is really easy to find, follow the site guide and turn in by the 'big metal chicken' sited in the field. Follow the road past the egg stall and turn right into the site just past the hedge, simples. You know when you pitch up somewhere and it just feels right? This has just that feel. Choose a pitch you fancy (unless you have reserved one) and carry on. John will be around at some point to meet you and give you all you need to know. The facilities are very good and kept very clean, there is a separate toilet plus another one in the spacious shower room that doubles as the information/leaflet area. There is loads to do in the area, you just need to research a bit if you are not local. However do not miss the local church, fascinating! Stand where two of the 'pilgrim fathers' where christened. The only downside is that there is some traffic noise from the main road although unless you live in a rural location townies will like me will take no notice of it. Lastly buy some eggs, double yolkers for breakfast??

Eggcellent!!

Hill Farm
First visit to this lovely CL. Warm welcome to our allocated pitch. Facilities are superb- large shower room with toilet and another separate toilet. Cows sheep (with lambs!!) plus the free range chickens - eggs are amazing - first double yolk I have seen in years!! Easy to get to Diss, Beccles Bungay as well as Harleston. Not far from Yarmouth and other seaside locations. We will definitely be back

Brilliant value

Hill Farm
Everything you'd want from a CL and more, this was our second visit, after 2012 and it's just as nice. Well mowed paddock, well, lawn really. TWO toilets, shower, EHU, all for £10 per night!! Short walk to pub/supermarket/eateries. A bit of noise from the nearby A143, but that's not a big issue. We'll be going again, even when it goes up next year.

Great stay

Hill Farm
We stayed on this working egg farm in early June and were very lucky with 3 days' warm and sunny weather. The site is so easy to find and access and is very spacious with a centre open space and attractive trees and it's nice and flat for pitching. No grass cuttings to carry into the van! We live in a very quiet area and did find the northerly wind sent the traffic noise in our direction but earplugs sorted that out, it's quiet overnight, and the northerly is not the prevailing wind. John is a terrific host and the facilities were clean. The shower room is very spacious and warm and there is also a separate loo. Met some very nice people which always makes for a good stay. A short walk to local facilities in Harleston and lots of lovely countryside and interesting places to visit. Farm shop and cafe just up the road if you like a cooked breakfast! We'll be back.
