Why stay here ...

Quiet site with one hard standing, surrounded by woodland, meadows and fields. We welcome well behaved dogs but no children. Lots of space for awnings.

Situated near to Norfolk Broads and only four miles from Norwich which can be accessed by buses which stop near to the site entrance.

The Norfolk Broads offer opportunities for boat trips, bird watching and walking.

Norwich, only 4 miles away, is a historical city with excellent shopping offering  a daily market, two shopping malls and many independent shops. It has two cathedrals, Castle museum plus other smaller museums. The Forum in central Norwich houses the Tourist Information, there are walking tours as well as an open top bus tour in season.

Riverside offers shops including Morrisons, cinema, bowling and restaurants including Wetherspoons. Delia's restaurant is at the Norwich City Football club at Carrow Road.

By the river in Bramerton there is The Waters Edge a newly refurbished PH which is good for food or just a drink watching the boats go by. Further along the river in Surlingham there are two more pubs, Surlingham Ferry and Coldham Hall. The next village Rockland St Mary has The New Inn PH which is opposite the access to Wherrymans Way which offers a lovely walk for birdwatchers and walkers. This village also has the nearest post office and general store.

If you wish to travel further afield the local bus stops at Norwich bus station which links to the rest of the County. By car we are approximately 30 miles from Southwold or Dunwich Heath and beach a National Trust nature reserve and 20 miles from Great Yarmouth.

Mature couple

Excellent site. Easy access from the A47. Entrance through gateway tight but manageable. Large grassed area with many trees. Friendly helpful welcome. Most days did not use the car as the bus service was so good - 10 minutes to Norwich bus station and then on to all parts of Norfolk from there. Would be better if the electricity points were not all close together on one side, as much of the field was unused with the vans rather quashed together.

A lovely site

This was our second stay on this site. It is level and peaceful. Very easy to get into Norwich as the local bus stops at the end of the drive and is a frequent and reliable service. The local pub/restaurant which is around 30 minutes walk or 5 minutes drive from the site is the Waters Edge. As the name suggests it is overlooking the river and the food is delicious and the service excellent. The site is only a short drive from the A47 which makes access to the Broads or various places of interest very easy. Happy to return anytime.

Hidaway

Excellent site, very well kept, grass nice and short, ground a little uneven but not a problem. Owners very friendly and helpful, gave us a load of apples from their trees and also informed us of the bus time into Norwich. We stayed for 7 nights. Would recommend this site to anyone. Be careful going in and out with the van on tha back as it is a little tight in places. A very good site to stay at with friendly owners all to willing to help
