Why stay here ...

Harome Fields is situated in the beautiful village of Harome, perched on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors. The site is perfectly situated on a quiet, secluded back lane on the northern edge of the village. It is a lovingly maintained, flat, well-drained site with easy access. All five pitches have ample space for awnings with electric hookups. There are recycling facilities, water and a brand new chemical toilet disposal unit.

The site is perfect for a noise free, stress free break.

Harome is a charming village to stroll around, there are beautiful old thatched cottages, a church and duck pond. The Star Inn is the jewel of the village. The 14th century thatched inn features a beautiful oak beamed bar area, a Michelin starred restaurant and a wonderful beer garden.

Harome is surrounded by fantastic walks and interesting market towns. Helmsley is 2.5 miles away, the picturesque market town has popular attractions including the National Centre for Birds of Prey at Duncombe Park and Helmsley Brewery. There are many craft and gift shops, Helmsley Castle, the Walled Garden and an open-air swimming pool.

For shopping essentials Helmsley boasts several shops, newsagents, green grocers, library and a petrol station. Market day is Friday with lovely stalls on the market square. Helmsley is home to award winning delicatessens, as well as an Indian and two Italian restaurants. There are various eateries including fine dining at The Feversham Arms and Black Swan Hotel. There is an abundance of public houses, two fish and chip shops and at least 14 coffee shops!

Other local attractions include the North Yorkshire Moors Railway based in the attractive market town of Pickering (market day is Monday), Flamingo Land, Eden Camp the live WW2 Museum near to Malton, Dalby Forest and the North Yorkshire Moors for breathtaking walks or bike rides. Castle Howard is a must visit along with Rievaulx Abbey at Helmsley. A wonderful CL

Harome Fields
This is the perfect CL. Quiet, lawned, set in beautiful surroundings, great TV reception, good waste disposal area and even our own rubbish bin. What more could one want?

Tip Top Site

Harome Fields
We recently stayed here for a week It was the first trip that we had taken in our Motorhome As complete novices to this kind of trip we were very nervous Beatrice the owner went out of her way to help us and to provide any support that we needed and for which we were very grateful We wanted a quiet and peaceful stay in picturesque surroundings which is exactly what we got The site is well maintained and regularly serviced in relation to all the available facilities Beatrice and her husband who came to mow the grass on the site work hard in an unobtrusive manner to keep up the very good standards on the site Harome village is very pretty and we had a fabulous meal at the renown Star restaurant in the village . We had lovely walks during our stay and visited nearby Helmsley for the market and fab ice creams All in all a great site with large pitches / electric hook up / water and an ideal position for exploring the beautiful surroundings We will definitely be returning Thank you Beatrice ( and hubby) for helping to make a success of our maiden trip in the Motorhome

Now top notch

Harome Fields
We have stayed on this site for about ten years and loved it. The negative review was fair at the time but it is no longer like that and I hope the reviewer is able to go back as they would be pleased their comments were taken note of. The new toilet disposal and grey waste is fab. It still has the great views in a great area with a brillian pub and hotel. We have stayed when it's rained and still driven a fully laden motorhome off it not problem so don't be too put off by the grass pitches. We will always be back as love this site and the area. Good job to the owners whom we met when we arrived and I hope next door enjoy their retirement.

Tranquil basic site with access to Michelin Starrred Restaurant

Harome Fields
Ignore the one previous negative review. This is a lovely, quiet, basic site set in a lovely village, with a short stroll to the Michelin Starred Star Inn, and also the lovely Pheasant Hotel. The site is all grass, with great long reaching views. Each pitch quite large and clearly marked out. There’s brand new toilet emptying facilities (just awaiting some final finishing when we visited (1/4/19). Each pitch also has its own bin and there’s recycling bins too. There’s a grey waste point a single fresh water tap and an information point with leaflets etc. Friendly helpful owners live close by in the village (5 min walk away). What more could you want for £12 a night.
