Kirkbymoorside Certificated Locations

The market town of Kirkbymoorside is situated in the Ryedale area of North Yorkshire, right on the edge of the North York Moors National Park.

This location makes it ideal for a walking or cycling holiday, with so many routes available amid the beautiful moorland scenery.

However, there's also much to do within the town centre, not least viewing attractions like the medieval cross in the market square, All Saints Church and the ancient coaching inns the Black Swan and George and Dragon.

You can attend a market each Wednesday and bag a bargain at the fortnightly Ryedale Auctions, as well as browse a host of independent shops or grab a bite to eat at one of the cafes, chip shops or takeaways.

Just outside Kirkbymoorside are two former castle sites: one in Manor Vale Woodland along a beautiful walk (look out for the rare species of beetle), and the other on Vivers Mill with spectacular views of the local countryside.
