Ok site

Sawdon Heights
This grass cl is well looked after with shower and toilet being a bonus. The layout of the pitches is abit unfair as there's 4 close together along top edge, one on other side on its own and another one that was infront of us blocking our views. The field next to the cl is where farmer parks his equipment which caused abit of banging around first thing in morning and in evening. In the same area there's barns where pigs were kept. We did hear noise from them - one morning at 6.30am we heard awful screaching and screaming- it was 300 pigs being loaded into the meat wagons ready to go to their fate. Not the sort of thing I or our grandchildren wanted to hear. I realise it's a working fa but that was deeply upsetting to hear. Overall to his was a good cl.

May Bank Holiday 2021

Sawdon Heights
This is our second time here with the caravan but we used to visit Sawdon Heights when it was a B & B, staying here 3-4 times before we bought our caravan in 2020. It’s easy to find but the last mile, or so, is on single track road from the village of Sawdon. We have also recommended the site to some friends and they were able to join us in their caravan. They are so impressed that they will be returning. Sue makes you feel very welcome. The sight is well placed for Scarborough, Whitby and Filey. The NYMR is close by in Pickering, to name but a few locations to visit. There are walks and cycle rides close by in Wykeham Forest and Dalby Forest is a short drive away. You may see hares and pheasants in the fields and there is plenty of birdlife to observe. The distance views from the site across the Vale of Pickering towards the Yorkshire Wolds are superb. We will also be returning later in 2021 for another relaxing break.

A wonderful and peaceful site

Sawdon Heights
We've just got back from our first caravan holiday in 5 years and I'm so glad we picked this site. The site was nice and peaceful and the grounds well kept. This is definitely one to return back to and hopefully in the not to distant future. Right from making the booking back in February to us leaving on Sunday, I found the owner Sue to be very helpful and friendly and even allowed us to stay a bit later on the Sunday, which gave us chance to spend the morning in Scarborough.

A fantastic site.

Sawdon Heights
This is a beautiful site in a stunning location. there ate great views and the site is very well kept. We look for a quiet location with good space between vans and a patch of grass for our children to play on and this is made for us. The walking around the site is great and the addition of the new toilet block is a real bonus. There are a couple of good pubs within 3 miles but the real draw of this site is its stunning location, great biking and great walking is right on your doorstep. This is now my favorite site in north yorkshire.

Peacefully place

Sawdon Heights
Very peacefully place, the grass is kept short but site is slightly sloping but doesn't cause a problem. Very friendly owners, we will be back.
