Beautiful peaceful site

Layhead Farm
We very much enjoyed staying here, with a view of the field with sheep and lambs. Very peaceful as its away from the road, nice walks from the site. Site very well kept.

Scenic site

Layhead Farm
Nice peaceful site with lovely views. Signage to pitches could be more prominent & lower down the lane. Enjoyed watching the lambs.

Layhead Farm
no one to welcome but no problem in finding where tp park. not much detail on site board but whether due to covid not sure. owner did eventually come for money and to introduce herself after about 5 days of the 7 we were there. lovely area loads to do and see.

Excellent site...

Layhead Farm
Loved our week on this site! Units are in a line, so not staring into another caravan, but over a field. Free wifi on the CL (take note, CC CLUB), and TV booster. Some great walking nearby, and Rosemary can supply eggs and homemade jam. Only gripe - could do with a freshwater tap at far end of site. It's a bit of a lug, dragging the aquaroll up the incline to pitch 1 - but will definitely be back...

Lovely CL

Layhead Farm
Just back from a three night stay on this lovely CL which we really enjoyed. The site is easy to access from the A65 but is far enough away not to have any road noise - at night the only sound we heard was a local tawny owl! That and a few rain showers, which is only to be expected in January. The hardstanding is a little deceptive as it's gravel with a thin layer of grass on top but, in wet weather, you need to take care not to drive off the hardstanding on to soft and somewhat squidgy grass - not having 4WD we chewed the ground up a bit trying to get back onto more solid ground... Rosemary was very understanding when we apologised for the slight damage and was both welcoming and friendly during the course of our stay. As was noted on an earlier review, WiFi is only available near the cottages - we did see a signal once but it was too weak to connect to. That said, mobile reception was fine with good 4G coverage so internet access wasn't an issue... Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will add this CL to our growing list of ones to be returned to... Many thanks Rosemary!
