Why stay here ...

Dodford Lodge Campsite is located on a family farm. The site has fantastic views, from its elevated position, across beautiful farmland. The farm has created wildlife strips and from your pitch you may get a glimpse of the beautiful barn owls or the deer running across the fields in front of you.

A quiet and tranquil location but with easy access. There is a fantastic farm shop and butchers, on the farm next door, which is only 2 miles away. Less than 1/2 mile from this you will arrive at the Heart of The Shires shopping village where the old farm buildings have beautiful shops and a great coffee shop. For all those essentials Weedon's small Tesco is only 2 miles away.

The White Horse pub at Norton serves fantastic fish and chips and is a lovely walk or cycle, along the rolling gated byway. Its only 1.5 miles away giving you just enough time to help build up an appetite and thirst!

From the farm there are beautiful walks to be found. There is a lovely circular walk taking in the grand union canal, Heart of the Shires Shopping village and the local farm shop. A slight deviation, all of 5 minutes, lets you grab a pint at the pub in Norton.

If you fancy a day out Warwick Castle is only 25 miles away, or you can jump on the train at Long Buckby, that is 5.5 miles away and be in Birmingham under the hour. Silverstone race circuit is 14 miles away and has an interactive motorsports museum.

The site is ideal for cycling, walking, discovering the attractions in the local area, or just sitting back and enjoying the beautiful views and we hope you have a fantastic time.

What A Gem!!!

Dodford Lodge Farm
I cannot praise this venue enough! It’s just on the right side of basic, a CL lovers dream and is truly super! Adrian Norman is a perfect host and is worthy of the stewardship of this family farm. It is rare that one meets a true gentleman who obviously loves his land and welcomes visitors to enjoy the paradise he also enjoys. Our stay coincided with mid harvest and that is a very busy time on any arable farm but it in no way impacted on our enjoyment, in fact added to the fun. Excellent electric supply and super high pressure water supply. The site is adjacent to an old Roman road that is a route for cyclists, ramblers etc. Don’t come here unless you are respectful of “real country living” or you will be disappointed. . Big Tip!! If joining from the south access road is immediately after the Skew Bridge so be aware!!! If you overshoot as I did it’s a long way before you can effect a U turn! LOL. Tesco Express just up the road, easy access to Birmingham etc or just chill and enjoy the amazing view!!

Peace and tranquility - not

Dodford Lodge Farm
Second time we have stayed here and unfortunately on both occasions it has been noisy with farm machinery and barking dogs in the farmhouse. I understand it is a working farm - I also understand that dogs bark as I have dogs myself but to say it is peaceful and tranquil is not true. Brilliant views and very pleasant owner but if it’s peace and quiet you are looking for them this isn’t the place for you.

perfect for us!

Dodford Lodge Farm
Dodford Lodge Farm ticked all our boxes - remote, great views, walks and cycling directly from the site and on a real farm. We even got to see the harvest being brought in. Adrian couldn't be more helpful. Would love to visit again!

Peace & tranquility

Dodford Lodge Farm
Just stayed a couple of nights on our way to the West county from Yorkshire ,as it’s easy for us using the M18,A1,A46 and M1. We will be seeing Adrian again in a few weeks. The picture of the site doesn’t do it justice, best view we’ve ever seen. Directions are a bit misleading, the turning into the lane is off the A5 just past the roundabout from Weedon(2nd left not the 1st). Beautiful views all around ,peaceful ,no traffic noise, and Adrian is very welcoming and helpful. George July and September 2023

A lovely friendly site to stay

Dodford Lodge Farm
We chose to book here for our first campsite stay in our new to us first caravan as we wanted to try out our caravan to make sure things were working and how to set it up. I am so pleased that we chose this site. Adrian the owner is a lovely, friendly guy. The site is small, with 5 pitches, but has fantastic country views. It is also very quiet as well. Our pitch was a grass and fully serviced with EHU, water and waste disposal on the pitch as well. A worthwhile trip as we couldn't get our fridge to work! Adrian came to the rescue though, as he let us use a fridge in a nearby outbuilding and we're very grateful for the use of this. We only live 15 minutes away, but wouldn't hesitate to come back again for a change of scenery. I would highly recommend staying here 👍.
