Bellingham Certificated Locations

For an active break and an opportunity to get away from it all, don't miss the Northumberland town of Bellingham. It's famously a stopping point on the Pennine Way and so is ideal for hikers and cyclists, but also offers a golf course, prime fishing locations and a fitness centre.

You can follow the Hareshaw Linn Walk from the town, which passes the old ironworks and ends at a beautiful waterfall, or head further afield to the Kielder Water and Forest Park and Hadrian's Wall.

Within Bellingham, you'll find a cafe, three pubs and an excellent heritage centre and museum. You can also check out St Cuthbert's Church and the purported grave of a thief who tried to infiltrate a house by hiding in a beggar's pack. Unfortunately for him, he coughed and was slain with the homeowner's sword.

Bellingham holds an agricultural show on the last Saturday in August where you can buy local crafts and produce to take home.
