Why stay here ...

Sky View CL is located in Staffordshire Moorlands near the border of the Peak District National Park. As it's situated approximately 300 meters above sea level it offers spectacular panoramic views to the east and west over surrounding areas such as Leek, The Roaches, Wildboarclough, Macclesfield Forest, The Mermaid, Cheddleton and as far as The Wrekin, Welsh Mountains and the Cheshire Plain.

Sky View CL is a small, quiet site that consists of five generous sized flat grass pitches with an option of hardstanding parking away from the caravan if preferred. Each pitch is individually fully serviced with 16 amps electric hook ups, drinking water and a grey water drain.

The site is home to a small flock of breeding pedigree Shetland sheep which lamb around the beginning of April, our sheep are friendly and enjoy being fed by hand. As we are located near to a working dairy farm new born calves can also sometimes be seen from the caravan park.

The tranquil setting of the Staffordshire Moorlands surrounding fields often offer the sights and sounds of nesting moorland birds such as skylarks, curlews, lapwings and partridges.

Within walking distance is the village of Biddulph Moor which offers two traditional country pubs, a post office, generous convenience store, a chemist and a children's park with zip wire, or if you prefer, the Shippon Tea Rooms, and Butterlands Equestrian centre are also only a short walk away. A short drive away are several nearby towns including Biddulph, Congleton and Leek with supermarkets, petrol stations, shops, pubs, restaurants and takeaways.

During your stay you may want to take advantage of some of the many local footpaths through the beautiful surrounding Staffordshire countryside that offer various terrain and distances to suit everyone's taste.

You may wish to take a short drive to nearby attractions such as Biddulph Grange Country Park and National Trust Gardens, Rudyard Lake, Greenway Bank Country Park, Tittesworth Water, Manifold Cycle and Walking Trail, Churchet Valley Steam Railway, Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre, Rode Hall and Gardens, Little Morerton Hall, various pottery museums, Trentham Gardens and Trentham Monkey Forest to name a few.

If you need something to keep the kids happy we are in easy travelling distance to places like Alton Towers, Gulliver's Kingdom, Waterworld, Chester Zoo and various indoor play centres and cinema's.

On arrival the owners Rob and Claire offer a warm welcome and are happy to help with any information you require to help you to make your visit as relaxing and enjoyable as possible.

As we are a new caravan and motorhome park for 2020, we are looking to further develop the facilities in the forthcoming years and appreciate your views and feedback to make this up and coming site as enjoyable as possible for everyone and a place that you would like to return to in years to come.

What a gem of a site!

Just arrived back after a five night stay, the first trip since relaxation of the lockdown restrictions,so it needed to be a special one. We were not disappointed. Before we arrived Rob made a courtesy call to let us know that work had been undertaken on the site to make it hardstanding this was a real nice touch and this was continued throughout our stay with Rob and Claires interest in our daily activities. We were one of the first outfits to arrive and Rob was keen to see how his hardwork had paid off as we are a twin wheeled outfit and quite long. No issues in sitting the van and what views! We were blessed with great weather and can see why the site is called Sky View with stunning sunsets and sunrises. Rob was keenb throughout our stay to seek our views about the site and the plans he has for the future and he has clearly listened to a lot of caravnners as you could not wish for more from a CL. The real bonus is each of the pitches has full service facilities. This is a really central position for some great walks and bike rides, you can really leave your car on site and do all your activities from the door step. The only thing we were unable to do was sample the Local beer or food due to the current situation but that will change soon and I am sure will be great. Rob has a wealth of knowledge about the area and is keen for you to ask questions, his whole ethos is for you to have a great time and want to come back. Which we will certainly be doing. Thanks Rob and Claire for making this first trip a special one. Paul and Mandy

The Height of Staffordshire Moorlands hospitality.

Great prompt phone communication by Rob and Claire, so important to us having travelled over 200 miles. Level pitches and new 2kw power points with water and grey water drainage. Their enthusiasm and extensive local knowledge of walking, Pubs, fish n chip shops and fancy farm live stock is priceless. We had a week of mist, rain, sunshine and jaw dropping rural views among lush pastures. Skyview is a new site this year and i anticipate its popularity will definitely be skyward with these guys. Little Gem

Just back from Sky View Caravan CL site in Biddulph Moor, which is new to CAMC. I only found it by glancing through the magazine 👌🏼 Spent 2 nights on a grass pitch with our own water, waste and electric . Fabulous far reaching views. Lovely to look out and see sheep and cows in the field next to you. Couple of great friendly little pubs to walk to as well as couple of little shops. Handy for visiting lots of places. Rob & Clare made us very welcome and will definitely return.
