Stowmarket Certificated Locations

The historic market town of Stowmarket sits on the banks of the River Gipping in the heart of Suffolk.

It prospered as a market town when the river was canalised in 1793 and this tradition lives on, with markets held in the town every Thursday and Saturday at the aptly-named Market Place.

In addition to its market and wide range of shops, Stowmarket is also home to the Museum of East Anglian Life, one of the biggest in Suffolk, which sits in 75 acres of beautifully-kept landscape.

The town's annual festival - StowFiesta - is traditionally held in the summer, and recently expanded to become a weekend event, featuring music from original artists and cover bands, along with family-friendly activities.
