Why stay here ...
Quiet back to nature Adults only CL with level hard standings, each with 16 amp electric, own water tap and grey waste so no carrying of water and waste! Owned by a caravanner of 25+ years in the Caravan and Motorhome Club, who has caravanned all around the UK and as far afield as Czechoslovakia.
Three ponds and walkways between trees and shrubs for you and your dog if you have one. Wildlife in abundance - you will likely meet rabbits in the early morning and maybe the odd hedgehog. A little further afield you may find red squirrels and ravens. You may see water voles in our ponds as well as fish and frogs amongst the water lilies. In May/June you will see brightly coloured Mayfly's dancing around the ponds. Of course if you are an early riser you may catch the Heron doing his daily visit. Later replaced by lots of songbirds including robins, wrens, thrushes, starlings, blackbirds and ravens amongst others. In the dark sky on clear nights you will see plenty of stars lighting up the horizon. You may hear the silent swish as either a Tawny or Barn owl swoops over. Perhaps see the occasional group of bats zooming this way and that.
The site is off the road with a 12 foot wide gate that we keep shut for your privacy and for a greater part of the year you can't even see caravans from outside the site. Modern chemical waste disposal point. In 2020 we will be fitting out a shower room and toilet as well as a separate dog shower. Free Wifi also available.

We stayed at Brambles in March 2020. This is therefore a very belated review, for which I offer my apologies. However, I could not let the chance to extol the virtues of Brambles completely pass by. Although a Club member for over 20 years, I would normally only use a CL for an overnight stop. Having moved to Anglesey at the beginning of the year, we wanted to stay local for our first trip out in the caravan and chose Brambles based on the positive reviews. Speaking with Eric when booking was a delight and he kindly e-mailed a detailed description of the facilities on offer, with a very helpful map which came in handy as it would be easy to miss the lane leading to the site. We actually arrived on the day the Club announced it's sites were to close; we had not checked the Club website before setting off, believing there was no risk of sites closing at that stage! Complying fully with the Club's closing policy, Eric very kindly allowed us to stay for a couple of nights, for which we were extremely thankful. A better place to socially distance, one couldn't imagine. Very secluded pitch, separate from the house, but secure in the knowledge that Eric and Sue were to hand if any problems arose. We had a great couple of days, and look forward to re-visiting for a longer stay.
