Why stay here ...

Croeso cynnes i’r Wern / A warm welcome to Y Wern.

Spectacular scenery and a fantastic location await you at Y Wern. Pitch up, relax and enjoy Anglesey’s most stunning Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, here on the outskirts of Newborough village. Views of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), Wales’ highest mountain, along with its surrounding peaks form a breathtaking backdrop to our CL site.

We have 5 grassed pitches available, all with their own electricity and water supply, and ample area for dog walking and exercising.

The Anglesey Coastal Path can be joined just outside our gate, and will lead you to many interesting walks, including beautiful Llanddwyn Beach, renowned as one of the best sandy beaches in Britain, if not beyond. On Llanddwyn Island, you will find remains of a 14th century church along with pilot’s cottages and lighthouses, while Newborough Forest with its strong established population of red squirrels, provides you with ample opportunities for outdoor activities, all within walking distance of Y Wern CL.

All amenities at Newborough village can be reached by foot along a paved path within 0.5 mile or a 10-15 min walk, where you will find a well-stocked shop, café, fish and chips and newly renovated historic inn. Should you wish to explore further afield, Snowdonia National Park has endless possibilities for walking, climbing, cycling and generally great days out, and can be reached within a 30 minutes’ drive.

Y Wern CL site is a perfect base for exploring all that the Isle of Anglesey has to offer, and we look forward to welcoming you on your Anglesey adventure!

John was very pleased to receive our booking after only been open 2 weeks. We rang on arrival at the site and told we could pitch up anywhere by the water points (5 of these as each pitch has its own water point). The best pitch on the far right with uninterrupted views of Snowdonia was already taken but still great views. John arrived shortly after and was super enthusiastic about making sure we had everything we needed. Returned later with a bench for the site and some fresh veg from his garden. John also gave advice of local walks and attractions, and of where to avoid!! EHU and water on pitch, chemical disposal over the field to the little shed, bins in the centre of the field, grey water in the hedge. No showers or toilets but a fantastic site with lots of potential improvements to make it even better. Thank you John and Nia.
