Spectacular scenery and a fantastic location await you at Y Wern. Pitch up, relax and enjoy Anglesey’s most stunning Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, here on the outskirts of Newborough village. Views of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), Wales’ highest mountain, along with its surrounding peaks form a breathtaking backdrop to our CL site.
We have 5 grassed pitches available, all with their own electricity and water supply, and ample area for dog walking and exercising.
The Anglesey Coastal Path can be joined just outside our gate, and will lead you to many interesting walks, including beautiful Llanddwyn Beach, renowned as one of the best sandy beaches in Britain, if not beyond. On Llanddwyn Island, you will find remains of a 14th century church along with pilot’s cottages and lighthouses, while Newborough Forest with its strong established population of red squirrels, provides you with ample opportunities for outdoor activities, all within walking distance of Y Wern CL.
All amenities at Newborough village can be reached by foot along a paved path within 0.5 mile or a 10-15 min walk, where you will find a well-stocked shop, café, fish and chips and newly renovated historic inn. Should you wish to explore further afield, Snowdonia National Park has endless possibilities for walking, climbing, cycling and generally great days out, and can be reached within a 30 minutes’ drive.
Y Wern CL site is a perfect base for exploring all that the Isle of Anglesey has to offer, and we look forward to welcoming you on your Anglesey adventure!
