Flintshire Certificated Locations

As the gateway to Wales, Flintshire is home to beautiful countryside, tranquil trails and historic heritage sites.

Outdoor types will love the delightful walk up Moel Famau hill, where they can take in majestic views of the North Wales landscape from the Jubilee Tower. The walk is steep in places, but still accessible for beginners.

Flint Castle is another must-see site. The first of a series of castles constructed as part of King Edward I’s attempts to conquer Wales, it’s possible to see parts of England and the stunning River Dee estuary from the ruins.

Visitors should not miss out on the scrumptious local food, with market towns such as Mold and Denbigh home to restaurants serving delicious locally-sourced meals.
