Why stay here ...

Sion and Ffion welcome you to Cryngae, a working farm which is situated in the village of Deiniolen. There are 5 hard standing pitches with water on each. We also have a holiday cottage with hot tub which sleeps up to 8 people and is only 5 minutes walk from the site.

The site is an excellent base for exploring Ynys Mon (Anglesey), Llyn Peninsula and Eryri National park. On a clear day the views are spectacular, whereby you can see the summit of Yr Wyddfa, the mountains of Elidir Fawr and Moel Eilir as well as over Caernarfon Bay and the Menai Straight.

The town of Caernarfon offers supermarkets, shopping and restaurants as well as a range of attractions and activities for all ages, including the famous castle which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The cathedral city of Bangor, and the lovely towns of Beaumaris and Menai Bridge are just a short drive away.

The village of Llanberis is only 4 miles away and will provide a perfect base for walks and water activities on the Padarn lake.

Anglesey and Llyn Peninsula are also a short drive away where you can enjoy walks along the coastal path or lazy days on the popular beaches of Abersoch, Barmouth, Rhosneigr or Llanddwyn.

It is a perfect location whereby you can access a variety of sports and activities such as horse riding; water sports; climbing; open water swimming; high speed boat trips down the Menai straight and of course the ZIP World activities.

There are some lovely walks to be done straight from the site, including the mountains of Elidir Fawr and the Glyderau and other stunning landscapes of Eryri are only a short drive away.

Perfect location

Cryngae
Just back from a fantastic weekend at Cryngae. More welcoming and helpful hosts you couldn't wish for. Our hosts made it clear before we booked that the site remains unfinished with some landscaping required. However, we're completely self sufficient in our van so all we needed was the hardstanding pitch, which was perfect. Where this site excels is its superb location in Eryri (Snowdonia), not only having superb walks in the immediate vicinity, including the Glyderau range if you're particularly energetic, but the site is literally only a 4 minute walk to a Sherpa bus stop (S2 & S3), opening up pretty much the entire Eryri range, and without the hassles of parking! I'll be returning for sure, particularly as my hiking buddy dog is more than welcome, which can't be said of other campsites in this wonderful part of the world. Thanks again Ffion and Sion. Looking forward already to my next visit.
