Nice quiet site with friendly, helpful owners

Argoed Farm CL
Great site; all you can hear at night is the wildlife (lots of owls) and superb views over the Severn. The site is sloping, so you'll need ramps to level. 16amp EHU with good mobile coverage. Right next to the Wye Valley, so a great spot to stay if travelling around. Access is easy. People have mentioned the last 300 yards as being tight, but we brought our A-Class here with no issues at all and access to the site is simple. Phil and Susan have been very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay in a very relaxed atmosphere. As it's sloping grass, it can get boggy in heavy rain, but the owners are available to help anyone if you get stuck. Would thoroughly recommend this place and we'd definitely use it again if staying in the area.

Peaceful relaxing and friendly site

Argoed Farm CL
We stayed here for a week and cannot fault the site. We pitched up ,then sat and enjoyed the superb views towards the Bristol Channel. This was an excellent site in a large field with plenty of space between outfits. The owners were very helpful and friendly giving us good information about restaurants and places of interest. The site was very well maintained. It was easy to find from the directions and accessible. As another reviewer mentioned the final 300 yards to the farm was narrow. But we never met another vehicle in that lane during our week's stay. We heard owls and many other birds, saw rabbits and squirrels. It really is a peaceful tranquil site, well worth a stay. The site was located in very attractive rural area. This is a site to which we wouldn't hesitate to return.

Shame to have to give a good review, it means others will know my secret!

Argoed Farm CL
This is a delightful site, quiet and set in a lovely location. There are beautiful views across the channel. The lanes surrounding are quiet and ideal for cycling. Was warmly welcomed by the owner, Philip. There are many interesting places nearby to visit, Chepstow, Caerwent for the Roman remains and Usk. Do not use Sat Nav to find the site, the main road is good and wide with only the final few hundred yards down a narrow lane.

Great CL, lovely views, very peaceful

Argoed Farm CL
This is a hidden gem, recently reopened. Stunning views across unspoiled farmland to the Severn Estuary/Bristol Channel. Easy access, apart from the 300 yards of single track road to the gate, but this is a very quiet lane, and we met no traffic during our recent two weekend stays. Lovely walks from the site. You’ll need levelling blocks and ramps, as the field slopes. Very peaceful, lots of birdsong. Highly recommended.
