Stunning views on arrival

Argoed Farm CL
We only stopped one night on a return home to break the journey. A narrow lane approach, but a spacious field, we had an amazing view over the severn estuary, Phil & sue made us most welcome, the site slopes a bit , but that's fine plenty of levelling blocks available, our dogs loved it , lots of direct walking off site + a it's own dog walk ..Phil has carried out some beautiful work to his barn conversions , see you again soon Derek, marie & dogs

Great site

Argoed Farm CL
A well kept, peaceful site with great views. Good electricity, powerful water & very well maintained recycling area. Plenty of space & a small dog walk with poo bin. Friendly owner.

Peace and quiet with beautiful viewsI

Argoed Farm CL
We arrived late having had a horrendous journey on the M4 (4.5 hours for a 2.5 hour journey) followed by a business meeting that over ran by 2 hours and were VERY stressed. Fortunately we were able to get onto the site and hooked up with no trouble at all. We are still new to motor homing and so we managed to make quite a few mistakes - ran out of water (fortunately there is water on site), didn't think about getting level (we found that water in a shower tray doesn't run uphill towards the drain hole) and a few other things. The peaceful environment and the wonderful views meant that we could de-stress and calmly handle our failings even though I had forgotten the beer and wine. So what could easily have been a total disaster just became an interesting set of issues that we were able to address without rancour. Waking up in the morning to the gentle sounds of the countryside and a stunning view of the Severn meant that our return journey was about as stress free as the M4 can be. It's a lovely site. Everything you need for a few nights is there, and Sue and her beautiful Black Labrador are very welcoming. Next time we go back to South Wales we shall certainly try to stay at Agoed Farm - and we'll try to add some leisure time to the journey!

Peaceful and really nice owners

Argoed Farm CL
Booked in for a stopover to visit family in the area. It’s a little tight on the last few yards as others have said, my Motorhome is 8’ wide so made it extra vigilant. Well worth the effort. It’s a beautiful place with incredible views. The owners are so very nice and extend the warmest of welcomes. We didn’t leave the site other than lunch at the Rock and Fountain so can’t really say about what else is around. The pub is really nice and the food was excellent. Once you’re there why would you need to go anywhere else. We’ll certainly be returning. Thanks Phil and Sue for a loverly weekend.

Nice quiet site with friendly, helpful owners

Argoed Farm CL
Great site; all you can hear at night is the wildlife (lots of owls) and superb views over the Severn. The site is sloping, so you'll need ramps to level. 16amp EHU with good mobile coverage. Right next to the Wye Valley, so a great spot to stay if travelling around. Access is easy. People have mentioned the last 300 yards as being tight, but we brought our A-Class here with no issues at all and access to the site is simple. Phil and Susan have been very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay in a very relaxed atmosphere. As it's sloping grass, it can get boggy in heavy rain, but the owners are available to help anyone if you get stuck. Would thoroughly recommend this place and we'd definitely use it again if staying in the area.
