Why stay here ...

Our CL is a large, 3-acre site on our family run farm, situated in the heart of this rural county, making it an ideal base for exploring the whole of our beautiful area, including the dramatic coastline with its coastal walks and gorgeous beaches, a number of which are just a short drive away. Bordered by woodland and with views towards the Preseli Hills, the site provides space, peace and tranquillity.

Our farm is set in 170 acres of peaceful countryside, with over 14 acres of woodland as well as hay meadows, wetlands, stream, ponds, and the Western Cleddau river forms part of the farm boundary. Our home is also home to an abundance of wildlife, including badgers, pole cats, and a wide variety of birds, including visiting Peregrine Falcons and Red Kites. Our guests often comment on what a beautiful, quiet site we have and many have described it as idyllic.

While the site is a field, the grass is maintained to a good lawn-like trim and there is a hard standing for up to 2 units. There are electrical hook-ups for all pitches, chemical emptying point, water tap and a toilet (please note there are no wash facilities or shower). Awnings are welcome, but you will need suitable pegs on the hard standing. The field is part sloping, but as you will see from the photos, it is not steeply so and you may only need a block for levelling up.

All the family are welcome, including pets, but please advise us when booking. We welcome visitors all year round, whether it is for a weekend, short break, or long, relaxing holiday.

The local villages of Wolfscastle and Letterston (2 miles) have services including restaurant, pubs, chip shop, petrol station with shop and gas, excellent farm shop, post office, newsagent and small supermarket. Haverfordwest and Fishguard are both only 7 miles away. Haverfordwest has large supermarkets and Fishguard has the ferry port, so we are an ideal location for a stop-over on the way to or from Ireland.

We are just over 2 miles from the A40, so access is easy, but far enough away from the main road that the peace and tranquillity is not disturbed.

There is coarse and game fishing within 3 miles, including on our stretch of river.

Some of our visitors are guests for weddings and functions at the nearby Wolfscastle Country Hotel and we are happy to drive you to the venue whenever possible.

We also have a self-catering log cabin which accommodates up to 6 people. A number of our guests have made use of the site and cabin together for a family holiday. Further information about the cabin and our CL can be found on our website.

So, why not come and have a restful, relaxing, peaceful holiday at our beautiful location.

very peacefull site

We have just spent one night on this c,l, on the way to Ireland , very peaceful , lovely views, very nice people who own the site, easy to find, very good for anyone wanting to go to the ferry to Ireland, lovely pub two miles down the lane with good food, only down side is the toilet, it wants knocking down and not advertised as having a loo on site or spending a few pounds and making it usable if it was done up it would be a very good c.l.

ideal for dogs and humans

We stayed on this site in half term and were the only ones in a large field with beautiful views. The site is a little off the main A40 road at Wolfscastle. Approach from the south and you will be able to turn into the lane to the farm no problem. The road to the farm is good and the site is a large field with electric hook ups around the edge of the field. There is a a gate down in to some woodlands below that you can walk your dogs and walk by the stream. We stayed here for the Fishguard folk festivals which was very good and the town is 15 minuets from the site. The top of the field has a large hardstanding area that would be good if the ground was wet. We had good weather and the dogs could ran round the field any time. The chemical disposal is in the corner of the field. The farmer and his family were very welcoming but not intrusive. The main roads in this part of the country are so quiet it was a shock to get back to the city. We saw lots of birds and an owl in this quiet site and even the sheep in the next field were friendly.

A little 'peace' of heaven

We have just returned home from a week long stay here. We weren't supposed to be staying here, but having arrived at another CL site that hadn't got a pitch for us (despite booking in advance) and on a Bank holiday, we had to call around to find somewhere else. Boy did we strike lucky. It is over 3 acres with plenty of room to pitch. If you like to get away from it all and experience peace and tranquillity, then this site is for you. Don't worry about the access, we are 8ft wide and 28ft long and had no issues at all, the lane is very quiet. Site owners are welcoming and friendly. After Tuesday we had the site to ourselves. Bliss. Will definitely be recommending this site to friends and family, and next time we visit Wales will be returning. £10 per night, with 16 amp electricity, bargain.

Highly recommended

Just spent 2 weeks on this lovely peaceful site ---ideally situated for the northern half of the Pembrokeshire coast national park.   Access off the A40 is down a relatively narrow road but this seems to be the case for most   Pembrokeshire Cls. Good walking locally as well as on the coast which is about 20 mins by car. Plenty of fabulous beaches  and nice restaurants in easy reach.  Site well kept with views and hardstanding area.  A real bargain for £9 a night and highly recommended.

Excellent choice if you like the quiet life!

Approx two miles off the A40..and you're in a lovely rural location. The facilities are basic but adequate, and excellent for £9 per night.  The field accommodates five caravans without being on top of each other and apart from the odd train, the noise at night is from the abundant wild life.  Lovely to her the owl. The site is is excellent proximity for St David's, Slova etc and there are many excellent walks in the area. We would definitely return in the very near future.
