CL of the Year Award 2019 - 3rd Place

Our CL is situated in the heart of this rural county making it an ideal base for exploring the whole of our beautiful area, including the dramatic coastline with its coastal walks and gorgeous beaches, a number of which are just a short drive away. The site provides space, peace and tranquillity and is home to a wide variety of birds including red kites.

There are five hardstanding pitches that are level and have electric hook up and water to each. There are two toilets and a shower that is free to use. Awnings are welcome but you will need suitable pegs on the hardstandings. Dogs are very welcome and we have a 1/2 acre paddock for them to run and play off the lead.

The county town of Haverfordwest is just 3 miles away and has a variety of shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants. It also has a bus station and train station. We are perfectly situated for those wishing to visit during the Pembrokeshire County Show in August.

The local village pub The Olde Inn is a very short walk from our site. ///lands.occur.start;

Our perfect type of CL!

Marylands
Stayed here for 7 night’s in February after the CL had been recommended to us & what a find! Access road to the CL was fine & direction’s were accurate, we were given a warm welcome from Jane & a thick information pack with lot’s to do in the local area. The fully serviced pitches were super large, separated by shrub’s & each had a picnic table, we had a pitch overlooking the field with 4 horse’s! The separate wc & room with a further wc & shower were always spotlessly clean, there is a pub within easy walking distance which presently only serves drink’s, you need to book early but we will definitely be back as it ticked all the boxes for us!

Back again….

Marylands
I was very lucky after emailing Jane for any availability to get in on a cancellation for early August. After last years visit I was keen to come back this year but in a different month. This time having a week. Jane & Ray maintain the standards they have already set and nothing was a disappointment. The size and quality of the pitches, the attention to detail to all aspects of the site and the facilities, as well as their relaxed and friendly nature. This visit I was able to get out and about more, to explore part of this glorious area of Wales. Once again, these trips were enhanced with some “top tips” from both Jane & Ray. My dogs were very grateful for the tip of going to the Haverfordwest Cricket Club & Racecourse walk, which was enjoyed on more than one occasion. The pub next door, now has its new owners in situ and the development plans are underway. As Jane explained, food is being introduced slowly to make sure that standards being set can be kept for the longer term. A short walk to the pub is always available for a “Swift pint or 2” of course. Once again, thanks Jane & Ray are a very enjoyable stay…..look forward to seeing you again in 2024 👍

Without doubt one of very best CLs available.

Marylands
We found "Marylands" by accident as they were advertising a rare cancellation. We're so glad we did, as it's probably the best CL we've ever been to. Good hardstanding pitches, each with picnic bench and cultivated borders. EHU and water to each pitch. A beautifully presented bathroom with two toilets and one luxury shower. Half an hour to Picton Castle and a lovely traditional harbour at Solva. Great value at £25 per night. Do be aware that they're heavily booked, but worth it.

Not surprised this site is an Award winner

Marylands
Knew we liked the area and after reading reviews we booked for 3 weeks and hoped for the best. Wow. No wonder this site books up so fast. Lovely big and level pitches facing on to farmer's field with trees beyond. Pitches are not numbered or bookable individually - there will be one waiting for you but if you prefer another, then you are welcome to move over if it becomes vacant during your stay. What a good idea. The secure dog field was surprisingly large and excellent for tiring out our dog when we had rainy days. Ray and Jane keep the site very clean and tidy with plenty more planting to come. We had water pump problems and Ray was especially helpful and checked up on us frequently, making sure all was well. The information guides given to us on arrival contained lots of useful information. Thank you both for a great holiday.
