Perfect CL - loved it!

Rhosgranog Uchaf
This was a wonderful stay - large and well kept field with the five pitches well spaced. Single toilet and separate shower within the main house which were well cleaned and felt homely. Three generations of the same family are the owners and are very friendly and helpful. They also have some cottages to stay in which we might consider another time too. A good location for exploring a lot of Wales and felt lovely to come back home. Flat so no levelling needed which is a bonus. Recycling is taken very seriously which is good to see. Only slight negatives were flies at the area nearer a cow field but you get that in the country! Also you could only get the WiFi very close to the house but at least it's there if you need it - and probably best to be without it all the time on holiday anyway! Thank you for a lovely stay and hope to see you all again soon!

We have been coming to stay at Rhosgranog for 11 years. It is a beautiful, sheltered and flat site. Near to lovely beaches and walks. Owned and run by the lovely Brown family who are always happy to help 🙂 I can't recommend it enough.

Peace and Relaxation!

Rhosgranog Uchaf
I almost don't want to tell people how lovely this site is in case it gets super busy and I can't get a pitch!! But here goes ... I have visited three times now over the last two years, and each visit has been a real tonic after the stresses of the Covid era. The site is very well kept and peaceful, the facilities are spotless (very important during the first Covid summer) and the booking arrangements work very well. The family are lovely and feel like real friends now. Nothing was too much trouble from booking to arrival and during my stay. The site itself is all grass, kept well mown, and the 5 pitches are very well spaced around the edge of a lovely big field next to the farmhouse. The roads around are narrow it has to be said, but there are plenty of passing spaces and the traffic is quite sparse. I tow my caravan and have never had a problem. There is plenty to do around the site if you look, and these places have been well covered in previous reviews. I also booked onto the pottery experience days available on site, and really enjoyed them, as well as coming home with a couple of souvenirs of my visits!! Well worth a try if you fancy it. The local coves (eg Nolton Haven) are ideal for paddle boarding (or SUP Boarding as its now fashionably known) with a carpark almost on the beach. Watch the tides! And Newgale is ideal for surfing. The Coastal path is no more than a 10 minute drive away, and the views are absolutely breath-taking! Choose your entry point carefully though as there are some fairly steep climbs on some sections. There are loads of good, reasonably priced eating places around (quite a few listed in other reviews), and I haven't had a bad meal yet (and I am quite picky!) Also don't miss the ice-cream parlour at Pointz Castle, on the coast road from Newgale into Solva. It is delicious and as it's a working dairy farm you can watch the cows coming in for milking while you're eating. Couldn't really fault this site. Loved it. Definitely hoping to be back again this year.

Delightful stay !

Rhosgranog Uchaf
We have just spent a week here in our motorhome and felt so relaxed by the end of our stay we didnt want to leave! Everything about the place ouzes charm and tranquility. The lady we spoke to a few times was born in the main house and still lives there til this day with her family. She was so friendly and lovely it was a delight speaking with her. The site is a huge field with EHU to the 5 points. Fresh water is by the entrance gate and so where we parked we could stretch our hose to our MH with no problems. The site also has access to a shower and toilet although we had no use for that it was still good to have that option. Chemical waste was a short walk through the farm courtyard and probably best to be done by 2 people as one needs to pull on a short rope to lift the manhole cover whilst the other does the business end of the job :-) The site is so close to some fantastic places to visit so you wont get bored thats for sure. OK its a bit of a maze of B roads but there are plenty of passing places along the way so no need to get stressed. There is an award winning fish and chip shop / restauarant nearby in Letterson called Somethings Cooking and is well worth a visit. Overall an excellent stay and all being well we would readily return next year Simon and Sarah Curtis

Super quiet and beautiful site

Rhosgranog Uchaf
We are a family of 4 with a dog in a touring caravan and booked on this COVID secure site for a week in summer half term 2021. First thing we were warmly welcomed by our host Angela who was very very helpful about the local area and always around for a chat throughout our stay. We’ll need to return as we didn’t manage to fit everything in. The site is located on farm in a big field and is super quiet and tranquil. The facilities are excellent with EHU, recycle and rubbish bins, shower and toilet all in excellent order. Fresh eggs are available from the farm. I went running in a nice 4 mile circuit every morning which I can recommend if you’re into that sort of thing. Bring what you need and top up at a local farm shop for milk, bread, meat, fruit and veg. We noticed small supermarkets were within 10miles but we didn’t need to use them ourselves. The roads in the area are very narrow so just take your time. Plenty to see within short driving reach from the site, Newgate beach is excellent for surfing or body boarding. The Woolen Mill close to Abermawr beach is worth a visit and nice walk from the mill cafe and in the woods by the beach. Tenby is 50mins drive to the park and ride. My favourite was Porthgain within 10miles with its old brick works, The Shed Fish & Chip bistro and Sloop Inn pub with coastal walks boasting free parking. We were recommended but didn’t make it to the Blue Lagoon. Overall I would highly recommend this site and the hosts for looking after us so well.
