Located within Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, Freshwater East Club Campsite offers more than just the fresh coastal air and warm sunshine. The park boasts many picturesque walks along the coastal path with stunning cliff top views. The caravan park itself is flanked by trees on one side, with a mixture of grass and hardstanding tiered pitching areas to choose from.

A stretch of long, sandy beach is minutes away, with rock pools and coves for exploring at one end. You will be spoilt for choice for castles to visit in the area - take your pick from Pembroke, Manorbier or Carew with its restored tidal mill and pond. If you have a pooch they will be spoilt for choice, with plenty of dog friendly beaches nearby.

Freshwater East Club Campsite puts you within easy reach of a wealth of attractions. A visit to Barafundle Bay (only accessible by foot) and Broadhaven beaches, taking in Bosherton lily ponds is highly recommended. Or head in the opposite direction to the popular walled town of Tenby with its colourful harbour, sandy beaches and boat trips to Caldey Island. If you fancy something a bit more adventurous, why not visit Ireland - sailings leave daily from Pembroke Dock, only a short drive away from the main caravan site.

Outstanding!

Freshwater East Club Campsite
We have just returned today after an absolutely brilliant 5 nights at Freshwater East. Staff were brilliant, we were first timers so had lots of questions and nothing was too much for them. They also lent us a lead as ours was too short for the hook up. I would 100% recommend this site. Immaculately clean, superb facilities, lovely site and welcoming staff. We will return!

Better when not busy

Freshwater East Club Campsite
Good tidy site and facilities clean. There were not enough toilets at peak times so queuing was unfortunate or the alternative was to time your visit outside peak (if you can!). The site is sheltered, long and thin so it lacks the interesting features or points of interest you get at some sites but the basics were good. Staff coped well but due to the full/almost full site on every one of our 5 nights it sometimes felt a little like a well run relaxed army camp rather than a holiday venue. Probably best when not so busy.

Very disappointed with the facilities and unwelcoming

Freshwater East Club Campsite
POSITIVE: Brilliant location for beach “Jacks” up the road serve good coffee food and drinks Beach was lovely Clean Great for walks NEGATIVE: 1:Very unwelcoming and the ladies on reception basically “grimaced” at me 2: The facilities were a joke with around 6 ladies toilets serving around 90 pitches YES 90 ! There were queues for the facilities every day. 3: no bins in the washing up area or indeed on the services areas. This meant, although I could fill up my water tank, I still had a steep uphill climb to empty my bins elsewhere. 4: Dog walk wasn’t a woodland one, basically it was a cut through to the other side of the campsite that took 10 minutes 5: DONT return to the site at 1pm ish. You’ll be blocked in by arrivals and can not get through the barrier until they are checked in. 6: no communal seating area or food vendor (fish & chips / pizza van) comes to the site. 7: The key has name of campsite and pitch on it . Could potentially be a security issue ? OVERALL: Just an amazing area but spoilt by unwelcoming receptionists and also a SEVERE lack of facilities and bins.

Mixed Feelings

Freshwater East Club Campsite
Stayed here for five nights and I have mixed feelings. Location is good being just across the road from the beach, very clean as always, and site wardens friendly as normal. But I didn't like the layout. Most sites have some interest - little nooks and crannies - but this is basically four big avenues of pitches - feels like being in the suburbs! But this is personal taste. What is not good is the site wifi - woeful in fact- which is really bad as none of the major networks give you a useable phone signal - working wifi is a must. And secondly - not enough toilet facilities for gentlemen. The toilet block serving 86 pitches only has 3 (yes three) toilet cubicles. Every time I went there was a queue to get in, and people queuing when you come out. This is not acceptable for a premium site. Wouldn't stay again based on toilet facilities and poor wifi.

May 2024

Freshwater East Club Campsite
Lovely site with good amenities and facilities. The staff were very friendly and wished everyone out of their vans good morning on there way to cleaning the amenities blocks. There is a small bay just outside the gates across the road which was great for exercising the dog. Just over the aforementioned Bridge is a Restaurant / Bar called Jaks where we had a very nice meal and it also has free WiFi if you need it. If you like walking this is a really good spot to start from for walks all along the Coastal Way. We only stayed one night so didn't really get to do a great deal. The site was easy to get to (if you follow the instructions provided), do not do what we did and visit Barrafundle Bay before arriving at the site. The sat nav took us the quickest route down a very narrow road with a bridge at the end which was only 7 feet 9 inches wide and we just got through with no damage.
