It's definitely relaxing, Rocky. All the controls are light and easy. It’s effortless and there’s no sensation of the car changing gear either as it’s just forwards or backwards in linear drive. A really laid back experience. 🤙

 my diseasal Merc has a little column shift, a leccy parking/hand brake and it even has flappy paddles. 🙄

Closest to driving an EV (other than a forktruck 😉) is my sister-in-law's hybrid Renault ??? .... from what I remember that was pretty much like any other 2 pedal car I've driven

Our MH is exactly the same as you describe in your first para but in no way compares to the controls in our EV.

I'm not sure the driving experience of a hybrid equates to that of a full EV 🤷🏻‍♂️

I can't feel gear changes either .... though there's only 7 of them

Mine has 9 , cant imagine why and it has flappy paddles, again dont know why as my last 2 cars clocked up around 90k miles between them without me ever wanting to use them, why buy automatic and fiddle about with gear changes?

I very occasionally knock it down a gear when towing down hill & then let it resume AUTO itself.

I will try that. I used to drop it down a gear in the C class but it stayed there until I cancelled it
