Our membership is up for renewal soon I just cannot see the point in doing it at this point in time. The last time we were away on a site was September and at this time we do not know when the next time will be.Any one got any thoughts on this ?

a rather big difference really, you can't take a tent to the vast majority of CAMC sitessmile

If that is the only perceived barrier to the two companies coming together I'm sure it can easily be overcome by reasonable people.

I never mentioned barriers at all, only that they cater for two differing types of camper?

Choice is good.

A tent.  Is that it.  Is that all.  So no difference really?

All camping club sites are 1300 arrival and if Sandringham is a model with 4 staff seeing members to their pitch and at busy times units backed up onto the estate roads when the pitch "offered is not to the members likingsurprised" ps the cycles are not ccc supplied,

also the ccc have different sections  for add cost, the booking system is very poor in comparison to the cc(we had been members for a short while )which we found made it difficult if on a tour to alter dates ,undecided

It would be "interesting" for the staff as both clubs site managers have different conditions of employment  ,this club tends to attract ccc staff wink

I think LLM was asking about any differences between the people who use the sites, Mikey. That's dodgy ground, I say😉

Posted on 01/01/2021 16:40

It does not need to be dodgy ground. Some simply prefer C&CC and some CMC that is the simplest difference.

I prefer CMC for several differences that some wold consider small although I use both Clubs

yes there is.....with tenters you tend to get younger families with children, and a tenting community are normally much more sociable than those who lock themselves away in the white box and watch telly.

But seriously some years ago my daughter and SIL bought a caravan and joined CAMC, and there reaction OMG, never again and left after 12 months, mind you they never joined the CCC either, you can think about the OMG reaction and form your own conclusions, clue, they did have 3 young children.laughing

Probably because the parents were expected to have some control over their children ,which seems not what parents want these dayssurprised

To me the campers are the same, only their choice of accommodation may be different.

JVB, As usual your defence of the CAMC is overwhelmingly one sided!

You quote that all of the CCC sites are 1.00pm opening  but how many of the CAMC sites are now 1.00pm arrival as I'm sure I read recently that 12.00 is certainly not the case everywhere. Is it now approaching 10?, 50?, 80?
