Club Rules

In truth the club should forget rules and let the members do what ever they want as they do anyway. I am I heavy user of sites and find that:-

Members speed around with no consideration to others.

Let their dogs roam without a lead.

If on a lead it is more than the length specified.

Let the dogs foul the site even if there is a dog walk. I see them sneaking around with their dogs waiting them to do their "business" no matter if it is a grass pitch that children will occupy next.

Let their children play ball etc near other members outfits and let them irritate others whilst getting a warm glow with beer and wine.

Children going around site at high speed on their bikes even the wrong way round.

Have raucous gathering late into the late evening/ early morning.

The Club should either suspend members breaking the Club rules or relax the rules

Whilst the "issues" the op has raised have been discussed at length on this forum, they are, in the real world nothing like the picture the op paints. I don't think I've been disrespectful at all, just my opinion as a warden at the sharp end for 36 weeks at a time, every year for the last 8 years.

The site I'm on K doesn't really come into it, it could be anywhere on the network and I'd welcome you as I do everyone, and I'd gladly chat about how life is being a member of the club, you just need to shell out that £51 big ones firstwinkyell

Talking about site rules, we are etting conflicting information about the lenght of dog leads on site in the information published it states that a max of 3mtrs but on the last site we were on the site staff were insisting it is now 2 mtrs and were being quite "insitant "undecidedwhen talking to members with no information as to when it "changed?"

I thought that leads were two metres and tethers 3 metres for as long as I can recall.

However the guidance simply says leads less than 3m!

Thanks that's what i understood, but several members were getting a "ear bashing" by the staff saying it is now max 2mtrs but as one of neigbours said they cannot show when it changed ,, but was not up to challenging it,it happened as we were just getting ready to leave, and then did not expect the internet where we are at Clumber Park to be this quicksurprised although it is still a black hole as far as mobile phone coverage is concernedfrown

As often been said on here by myself and others , what actually happens on club sites and what is reported to have happened or the picture painted by some posters are simply just worlds apart. yes things happen but nowhere near the frequency posted. Most (well 99.5% of my time) of the time on club sites they are peaceful with everyone very happy.

I think the OP was a wind up

I've always been of the opinion that the vast majority of us don't need rules as we can judge what really are neighbourly and respectful behaviours for ourselves! However, those rules are there, I guess, to define those expectations we hold dear for those who are unsure!
