Due to lockdown our annual site WiFi subscription has not be able to be used. I telephoned Air Angel the providers who kindly extended both mine and my wife’s annual subscription by three months. It was all done over the phone on 0333 240 7610. Hope that is helpful to other members in this situation.

No, I didn't suggest that.

In normal times (again) the facility blocks have, in my experience, been first class and in working order - there for the taking. I cannot say the same for site wifi.

If I didn’t want to use the facility block, I’d not go to a 'full fat' site.

I absolutely agree, facility blocks are first class, it's just that we don't need them. We caravan, normally, 11 months of the year and I think that our early experience, years ago now, was badly influenced by some CL visits out of season that left us sitting all alone, in a far corner of some deserted field.

Just a thought, is the preferred method of payment on site by bank transfer? If so this means you would need internet access, which you are being asked to pay for.

No, the preferred method is by credit / debit card. I don't think that option is available, however for a bank transfer I would use my phones 4G in any event. Preferring its security to the sites open network.

WiFi at Durham Grange is very slow. Like watching paint dry. Not worth paying the money.
