Well  .... we feel far from crowded on our CL. There are only 2 of us on it on opposites sides of the field. They are far enough away from us I can't even make out their car's reg plate. 😊

bit like us last week.....on a CS.....In fact, 2 CS, side by side, one owned by husband, the other by the wife.

large hedge and gat separating them, each not affected by the other.

towards the end of the stay, we were the only ones on either CS...

our type of site, too...

We've stayed on a couple of sites which were 0.25 acre and one which was a bit less than that but it had a 4 van maximum policy. Two felt very cramped and I wouldn't return to either of them but the other one was okay. It depends on the layout and the surrounding environment really (whether there are extensive views or whether you're surrounded by hedges or farm buildings etc). A couple we've stayed on were 2 acre sites:bliss😊

I wouldn't mind having another category of site: for example a 10 van site on 2 to 3 acres?

We go to Low Hedgeley Farm which used to be a CL but is now a small commercial site and they have around 10 pitches I think but there is plenty of room.

That looks a spanking site bells, just what we are looking for next month. I am in a Rothbury tonight, we might drive past tomorrow for a peek. Can you post a link onto the Small Private Sites sticky thread, so it’s  there for all? Unless you have already added it of course!😁

Nice looking CS as well BB, was that somewhere in SE?

You might welcome metered supply. Many, including myself, wouldn't

Neither club charges for electricity, that’s the point. C&CC charge for use of the EHU bollard while this club has an all inclusive price.

I don't understand this BB - and we have stayed on a similar CL which was actually two CLs together, separated by a hedge.

The CS we stay on regularly (as per my previous post) has two acres in two distinct areas, separated by a fence.  One part is in an old orchard and the other is in a large open field.

The owner has a problem in that tent owners tend to be unreliable in that with the vagaries of the weather, they tend to cancel at the last minute, leaving him with spare capacity and having turned caravans away.

He would like to increase his capacity for caravans at the expense of less tents and I suggested to him that he did exactly what you describe at the CS you were on - but he has been told, categorically - by both Clubs, that this is not allowed.

I am not doubting what you say for one minute because I have seen it myself but I just wonder how some manage to get away with it?
