Not very active forum...

I've rejoined the Club after quite a few years. The forums are not as active as they might be. Yes you can pay £15 to join more active groups but wouldn't it be good if this forum, which we have paid for after all, could become a little more active and responsive by members using it more. (Or maybe I have found it too hard to find what I'm looking for!?)

I have only used one , Stanmore Hall and like Phishing I came away thinking it of a standard the club should try to emulate. However it was to my mind expensive at £27 8 years ago

I have used Stanmore  Hall, Oxon, Ludlow and Betws Y Coed. They were OK but I would not rave about them. Pleasant to stroll around he lake at Stanmore on the odd evening.

Oxon was £31 in Sept and current offer is £27.

Similar price to CMC at Southport which is a relatively popular and in the more expensive range of CMC site without pool or restaurant.

Of course you also get a VAT reduction at present for CMC sites, no idea about Morris

Thread drift
Morris site often have a 3 nights for the price of 2 in low season.  Not sure if it is current or will even apply this year.  But useful because we have used it to have a late departure on a Sunday.

To add to the drift....

Stayed at Ludlow site a while back, nothing you could fault in terms of facilities, all the bells & whistles you could expect but clinical and soulless place. Very expensive and staff phoned to hassle me about arrival time even though I was planning to arrival within their advertised check-in times.

So the club has thought long and hard about extending membership for the 3 months they remained closed, obviously not hard enough.

you mean as it didn't come up with the option that one wished for it didn't think long and hard about it?

I'm sure it did and made the best choice as thought by those who made it and run the club?
