I haven't seen any confirmation or otherwise regarding this but have just read it on Faceache with a date of 25th June being, allegedly, given by a member of site staff for implementation.

UP TO DATE INFORMATION ON BOOKINGS

We are normally able to book for next June from today.
However this isn’t possible as the website is moving over to deposits in the next couple of weeks.
So at this time we cannot book anything for next June until the system is live.

It may well be the case that advance bookings to some sites may well need an incentive "lower prices?🤔) to encourage occupancy as hotels and package holidays dosurprised

That, of course, will be another chapter? The Club will not be immuned from rising prices so I imagine they will have to recoup that in some way. The other side of the coin is that if the new system works on the basis the Club wanted, to increase availability, will that mean there will be a lot more empty pitches as less people will be willing to commit for so long in advance? Couple that with the squeeze on all household budgets, even with Government support, where perhaps members cut back on their annual holiday spend, then the Club could find itself with a big problem. It hasn't happened yet but you could see that as a possible scenario. The trouble is, I think discounts would have to be substantial to make an impact so the Club could find themselves in a Catch 22 situation. Maybe we are being unduly pessimistic?

If this site is going to be the norm over the next few years there already is plenty of availability we are on the west side in the height of school holidays and in the area we are on there are12 empty pitches  at least that I can count sitting outside our PVC surprised

Also just received ours. However it would be nice to know their definition of shortly.

Is the implementation  so fraught they are incapable of giving a date.🤔

I have no bookings, no email either. I wonder if they are 'personally' targeting only those whose bookings are in the system and are about to be transferred?

also, as this is happening in a few days, and any amendment beyond then customers will need to know more about the new system fairly quickly.

perhaps that info is behind one of the links...?

I’m sure the terms of reference for allocation of existing bookings to a pitch type have changed. I don’t recall anything about length of stay. As we only tend to stay 1 / 3 nights now we have a MH looks like we are more likely to end up on grass at sites with limited hardstanding.☚ī¸

From top questions on the new booking system:-

When existing bookings for our standard pitch type are moved over to the new system, they will be allocated to hardstanding or grass pitches with or without awning space as per your original booking. As hardstanding pitches are the most preferable pitch type, those with the longest length of stay will be allocated these first.

After this has been done, if you wish to change your pitch surface type you can do so online using the new system (subject to availability).

Why on earth is it called a "booking experience", why not simply call it a new booking system?  Who came up with that ridiculous name?
