UK staycation boom predicted

I was left wondering today. On my way up to tip to dispose of a full load, passed a parked up police car at one of our main route roundabouts. Didn’t think much of it, as I get regular police updates about what they are doing in community, and know they are heightening the watching campaign. However, half a mile further on, I passed a large MH heading down to the roundabout, two people in cab. I bet the police car at least twitched if it didn’t actually stop the MH. First one I have seen out on road in months around here. ๐Ÿ™‚

Although the MH journey may have been absolutely legitimate, TDA, let's hope the police checked the keeper's address via ANPR even if they didn't pull the van over.

I'm very much getting the sense that people are dropping their guard and thinking the rules don’t matter any more.๐Ÿ˜•

I think we see MHs out and about most days we travel down the A9, we have taken ours out at least once a month without any problems.

I don't think the police up here are the least bit interested to be honest, that's if you see a police car these days.

There is certainly more traffic on the roads in the last week.

Yes, my thought was that it was probably returning from a service check, as it was heading away from direction of two local dealers. I wondered more about the reaction of the police man. Haven’t seen any police vehicles actually out and about much at all.
We went for a bike ride today, stayed local, but the traffic was horrendous. We crossed over M1 and M18 and both were very busy.
