There are a couple Brue. We use Toynes House, which I think is the one slightly further out, very nice. Been staying on and off for years, back before it had hook ups.

Love Polridmouth. We have done the walk all the way from Fowey, up and down the coastal path, emerging by the Lake. Tend to park up at the Barton nowadays, and down the sunken lane. It’s just so special that Cove. There was quite a bit of the wreck left when we first found it back in 1984, but I doubt there’s much left now. Happy days🥰

A lot of thses places have got too busy for us now but we've nice memories! And it's great if others enjoy them too.

We're not rushing off anywhere and it won't be to crowded spots.

Thanks Tricia. We live in Flintshire and still waiting to hear from Betsi Cadwaladr. Apparently they are the ones making the appointments and directing you to the jab centre.

There's a lot of elderly folk getting a bit twitchy. Seeing as a Care Home in Mold was the first in North Wales to get the BionTech vaccine there shouldn't be a logistical problem with storage hereabouts.

Have heard today of three over 80s finally getting theirs on Friday. Extremely slow.

Strange but we had a phone call today. MiL has a Saturday appointment now.smile

Looks like B.C. have given the appointment making back to surgeries as that's where her call came from.

See what happens when you put stuff on this forum?laughing

So that 's one out of the way and won't interfere in our March cottage appointment.  Mrs WN thinks she'll be April at least. Not too sure about my timescale but should be end of February if all goes to plan.

Both my wife and I have appointments for tomorrow with the 2nd doses booked for 11th April.

Getting back to staycations, looking at touring stats, 47 percent used to take the main holidays abroad. If they now opt for a staycation that is almost a doubling of demand.

I don't think it will come to that though Peedee. Quite a lot are suffering withdrawl symptoms.

I do think you'll see a lot more in Spring but come Autumn my own feeling is that most will head off if they can.

Are you talking LV touring? or holidays in general? with the stats?

The stats came from Pitchup and came from a section talking about European Camping and Caravanning. The origin of the stats was from Visit England and the GBTS (Great Britain Touring Stats.)

47% seems high but it depend in what section of the community you ask the question
