Celebrities going caravanning

Saw a trailer this evening for a new programme starting on Channel 5 next Friday evening, 13th July, where five celebrities go caravanning.  I assume it’s in the same vein as as the series shown a while ago where five celebrities went motorhoming.  Sorry, I didn’t catch who the celebrities are, but will have a look at it out of interest.  I found the motorhoming series on Channel 5 catch up recently, having only caught part of one programme previously, and quite enjoyed it.

They didn’t take the mick and it was entertaining.👏🏻

Whether the celebrities did all the towing and manoeuvring is doubtful in my mind and why did they push the van when it had a mover fitted?

It’s difficult not to compare this program to COTY but whereas COTY was a farce, this didn’t make me cringe once. 😃

Excellent light entertainment laughing the sort of telly where you could go make a cuppa and get right back into it. Perhaps there will be more decent programmes like this now that the silly boys kicking a ball about has all but finished.innocent

Each to his/her own but there is no need to denigrate people representing their countries at a sport (even if you don't like that sport).

I quite enjoyed watching the programme and the celebrities seem to be enjoying themselves too.  Unfortunately I only saw the second half, but it all seemed fairly harmless.

Harmless and entertaining yes but they didn't set a very good example by not at least indicating that some advice/training on towing had been given and i never saw anything about filling up water barrels or emptying waste! Perhaps that is to come?

Perhaps 'silly' was the wrong word, 'sadly boring' is much better.

We watched this first episode, partly to see what it was like, but mainly because of the location (near to us).

We were a bit confused about the route they took from The Midland hotel in Morecambe to Low Sizergh Farm Shop. It’s A roads all the way for most people

We watched the first episode, will probably only watch future episodes if the is nothing else on! It felt a bit contrived but then I suppose it was always likely to be.

Can't believe I'm saying this, but what a brilliant show on Channel 5 yesterday evening.  5 Celebs and 2 caravans all added up to me before the programme began as being a recipe for a bit of caravanning bashing.

All 5 seemed to get on well but the main star was of course the great British Countryside.  All that is best about caravanning was represented in this programme - laughter, jeopardy, road trips, new friendships and stunning scenery.

From the sponsored content within the show the C&MH Club probably had much to do with it's creation and themes.  You got it spot on, well done

It's a series folks, so watch on catch up and set your boxes to record it!

I too was surprised to find that I rather enjoyed the programme thanks mainly to the glorious Lake District countryside.  Also pleased to see how they all warmed to caravanning as their trip progressed.  They need to learn how to change a wheel!  Think they must have had some tuition as they seemed to know a little about reversing but I do hope they do not push a caravan again using the panels and not the handles!!
