Celebrities going caravanning

Saw a trailer this evening for a new programme starting on Channel 5 next Friday evening, 13th July, where five celebrities go caravanning.  I assume it’s in the same vein as as the series shown a while ago where five celebrities went motorhoming.  Sorry, I didn’t catch who the celebrities are, but will have a look at it out of interest.  I found the motorhoming series on Channel 5 catch up recently, having only caught part of one programme previously, and quite enjoyed it.

I quite enjoyed it, some humour amongst the obvious set up. Wonder what they'll do around St Austell? wink

I enjoyed watching.  I had an idea what it would be like as I watched the motorhoming and barging series, both of which I enjoyed.  It shows a realistic view of caravanning, including the mishaps beginners (and some not so beginners) can encounter.  It also showed a positive view of the beautiful countryside that you can access by staying on caravan sites.  Looking forward to seeing the next instalments.  From the trailer of next week’s programme, it looks as though someone has an incident with the side of their caravan negotiating a tight bend.

Eaten by the upper classes, eh? tongue-out

I shall be in there tomorrow queuing at that counter.

Thanks, Brue.

I presume by upper classes you mean yourself and DSB? wink

Apologies to Bandgirl for this pasty diversion. I think the new series gives a better view of caravanning, especially the bit about "it gets better, you'll get used to it, is that what we all say when we get to a hotel room".....winksmile

Made the mistake of recording this on Catch-up. It reminded me of that terrible recent series about the celebs. visiting India with that ghastly actress with the foul habits (you know who I mean!). A bunch of B List actors - overweight, overpaid, overacting. Maybe the caravanning bit was good but we couldn’t stand more than 5 minutes so will never know. I guess we all have different tastes but to list this topic under “Entertainment” seems a stretch of the imagination.

Just watched the Pasty video.  They went to the right place to learn about pasties!!  We're in Dorset at the moment (having already spent two weeks in Redruth, one week in South Devon.  Weve got acweek in Wareham, Dorset, then off to Littlehampton CAMC site for a week, before our final week at Black Horse Farm CAMC site in Kent.  Still missing the Philps Pasties, the Roskilly's Ice Cream and the Rhodda's Clotted Cream.  At least I can get Rhodda's easily from the Co-Op at home.

They’re all here waiting for you, David. We’ve had a few days in West Cornwall checking the fare is up to standard. 😄
