I Remember When

I remember getting post twice a day !!   A.M & P.M !! .

Ah memories...

I remember fishing with a stick and cotton as the line with a worm tied on as bait and having a jam jar to put the sticklebacks in!

Being told off by my mother after an enjoyable day spent sat in the road playing with melting tar and lolly sticks and having the tar removed with margarine!

Spending the school holidays in the local park down the hollows damming the stream nand drinking our Jubbly drinks and eating our arrow bars and fruit salad chews!

Using a broken chalk ornament to draw hopscotch squares on the pavement and then using the chalk as a marker!

Spending the day lay on my front covered in calamine lotion after getting sunburnt!

Ah memories I could name many more! 

I remember when dogs had to have licence

I remember shops like , Meadow , Home and Colonial, and Maypole. Wonder what happened to these shops.

Ration Books & Points................and they did not mean prizes, just survival
