Posted on 26/02/2017 18:47 by HelenandTrevorEnjoyed another day at Ferry Meadows, Weather dry with glimpses of sunshine. Have enjoyed watching the steam trains pass by the back of the caravan this afternoon. Came back to the van after a long walk this morning for a rest and to catch the rugby. Early start tomorrow, as have to get home for work and OH 's doctors appointment.
Malcolm, take heed of the good advice and if you must replace your awning, get a replacement pole and sell it, we even got £50 for an ancient one that had come with a second hand caravan we bought.

Have a great time in Cornwall, David. Taking food parcels down for Anna by any chance? (Laughing smiley)
Any plans for going down later in the year? Let us know if you are, it'd be good to meet up again.
Our site is closed this month and we're off to warmer climes tomorrow - 15 days in Mauritius, very adventurous for us!!

According to this article, the Bradcot Modul-Air Awning is a modular unit that comes as a base size, with an extension module that turns it into a full awning, if required.
Note the words at the bottom though - NB THIS IS A TOURING AWNING AND IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR SEASONAL PITCHING OR PERMANENT SITING

Even though we have a seasonal pitch at Northbrook Farm club site, the club rule is that awnings have to be dismantled every 21 days. So the caravan can be left on pitch all season but not the awning. So the Bradcot awning would be suitable in those circumstances.
Malcom I am not sure if the manufactures would consider taking it down for two days 16 times in a year normal touring. It sounds more like the hammer one would get from being permanently erected.
