Horrible start to the day here, wind rain and very dark. We still have the wind but at least the rain has gone and the sky looks to be clearing, I can even see that the sun is setting.

Had Mum today as usual on a Sunday, didn't get up to much due to the weather but she likes coming out to see us.

I bought a new Samsung Tab 4 the other day off the net, received it yesterday and now in the process of setting it up, my old one still works but for some reason it won't allow me to download books from our library anymore. I can still buy them and they work but not from the Library, just tried out the new one and its fine smile now need to go on and pick 3 books ready for our holiday.

Malcolm - why am I not surprised that you don't take the advice offered by the manufacturer of the air awning? undecided

Anyway, I hope you enjoy your new awning and put a review on the forum.

Good advice above about selling your old one. So I guess that means that you'll just put it in the bin? I sold one that was a good few years old. Advertised it on the CC 'for sale' section and it sold within days.

Why am I not surprised he has an inflatable tent just lurking in the boot of his car.  laughing

I remember there being a lot of flexing of the front and sides as well as bending of the poles during Storm Katie with our metal poled awning!

Thats nothing to what you will get in the future if you go down the air route

Quite a pleasant day here - rather mild, if a little breezy.

Spent a good few hours in the garden, clearing the jungle. Filled about 10 bags with off-cuts, ready to take to the tip (too much for the compost bin).

I must admit I'm wondering what I would do in a similar situation to yours Malcolm.

Would I spend c £10-15 on a replacement awning pole or

would I spend c£800 on a new air awning?

Hmm, decisions, decisions!! wink

Enjoyed another day at Ferry Meadows,  Weather dry with glimpses of sunshine. Have enjoyed watching the steam trains pass by the back of the caravan this afternoon.  Came back to the van after a long walk this morning  for a rest and to catch the rugby. Early start tomorrow, as have to get home for work and OH 's doctors appointment.

Malcolm, take heed of the good advice   and if you must replace your awning, get a replacement pole and  sell it, we even got £50 for an ancient one that had come with a second hand caravan we bought.
