With the opening race in Australia this weekend, anyone have any thoughts for this year, or is it going to be another boring procession, like last year?

I think it's very difficult to become a new player in F1 engines. The list of companies that have pulled of of this sector is quite long with a lot of famous names. Even Cosworth no longer produce F1 engines prefering to concentrate of the USA series. There have been rumours for years that the VW group might be interested but nothing has come of it.  Poor Williams seem to have lost their way. Perhaps time for the family have a bit more distance from the day to day running?

You could be right David but I also believe they need an experienced older driver who can act in a development role as well.

So, Ricardo to Williams with a brand new A.M. engine and an F1 Championship next year! You heard it here first 😉

Looking forward to Spa this weekend and hopefully another exciting race

Thought Riccardo had signed for Renault for the next couple of years and surely AM are in partnership with RBR.

So, Alonso and Riccardo to be replaced by Sainz and Gasly respectively, at the end of the season. My money is on LeClerc for a 'big named seat' in the not too distant.

Apart from a spectacular bit of mayhem on the first corner, a rather boring race.

Agree Cyber and it seems to becoming a regular occurrence. The only interesting part of many races this season seems to have been the first 10 minutes-then yawnsville til the chequered flag 🏁
