How's your footy team doing?

I'm starting this thread again because it seems to have been a casualty of the change over to the new site. The Terriers scecured another away win last night at Burton. Two wins in a row now after a barren spell. It'll all go pear shaped on Friday when we go to Norwich because the game is to be televised , we haven't won on the telly for ages.

And now I'm hoping against hope that the Bad Times at Gresty Road can at last be put away.

Well,  after being suspended from all football activity by the F.A. in 2016 Dario Gradi has at last resigned his seat on the Board and his Post as Director of Football at Crewe Alex. { I have to point out, in fairness, that Gradi has always protested his innocence in the on-going affair ]

Perhaps, just perhaps, this sad sorry tale will, as far as the Alex is concerned at least, be consigned to history.

Quite a change for the Mighty Men of Crewe Alex.

Two up before the break then two all before they did what needed to be done !! Carlisle United  2  Crewe Alexandra 4  (rolls so sweetly off the keyboard doesn't it wink  )

And Top of the Division too !!

{ Not crowing,  just saying  innocent  }

Hmmm undecided

Think Crewe have discovered a strange but successful tactic !

Home or away there's no harm in conceding the first goal and letting the opposition think they have cracked it ! Then midway thro' the second half or even later knock in a decisive brace and send our fans home happy  laughing.

Still top of the division with a slightly wider margin ( might just start CROWING  if it carries on like this smile )

I know I'm likely to bore the shinpads off folks with my rabbiting on about t'Alex an all, but I thought somebody else might pop in if only to tell me to go & check my V A R !!

I dont think so JR, I seem to recall Accrington V Crewe was one of the last games Stanley played before dropping out of t' League.  I wouldn't like to see THAT scenario played out again frown

My head’s been full of rugby recently, but, yes, back to the football.

Just seen the nominees for the Ballon d’Or announced.
Not too sure about some of them......🤔
