How's your footy team doing?

I'm starting this thread again because it seems to have been a casualty of the change over to the new site. The Terriers scecured another away win last night at Burton. Two wins in a row now after a barren spell. It'll all go pear shaped on Friday when we go to Norwich because the game is to be televised , we haven't won on the telly for ages.

Blithering silly boys, grrrrrrr. Fancy losing 1 -- 0 at home to a bunch of Clay 'eads --  Brian will not be good company  for some time !!  even the wiser of my neighbours have barricaded  themselves in.  Hope no weekend warriors  of the 'Delayed Scary Halloween' variety come calling ==   might be more scary than they could tolerate  !!

So Brian.....how about I pick you up to watch your team against mine in the FA Cup first round?

Accrington Stanley vs Crewe

Posted on 10/11/2019 12:49

NOW, you understand why I'd never go to Accrington Stanley, JR laughing!!

Broke Two Referees / Assistants and cost a fortune in phone calls to FA and Professional Match Officials HQ to decide which end had nobody running the line after a 50 minute half time.

Then, of course, the cruel, hard, Crewites  went home to watch, with great interest, the 2nd round draw.

Another hard, badly paid day at work for 'Stanley'  frown

OH wearing a confused expression after I told him Leyton Orient had lost to Tiptree and Maldon 😱. Nice to hear of a minnow win.........

I think Stanley would be within their rights to get the game replayed Brian. Fourth official comes on, obviously can't referee the game properly and with only ONE liner, who was in Crewe's half??!!!! Then he sends one of ours off for a perfectly ill-timed tackle!!! πŸ˜€Crazy stuff at the Wham stadium

NO chance of a replay on those terms Sunshine  cool.

FA gave their ruling because " It's Their Tournament " and the one 'assistant'  was on Crewe's defensive half because they had agreed to toss up and the winner got the official.

Almost makes V A R seem logical & well organised don't it  !!

Well good luck in the next round. Hopefully you won't draw ball number 38 tonight!!

Bet you wished you'd have gone to Accy Stanley today Brian? An 8, yes that's EIGHT goal thriller - well actually a 7-1 demolition of Bolton Wanderingwhathithem - whilst a mere 5 at Gresty Road πŸ˜‰πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
