Probably under keepers on an estate that size but there are some very unpleasant individuals out there with no qualms about the destruction and suffering of living creatures, not just birds sadly.

Todays story is a Kite shot in London apparently by shotgun. Strange only one pellet in it. I understood it was only us nasty countryfolk who killed raptors

Yes fish, these folk walk amongst us everywhere. Some poor birds are migrating thousands of miles having been peppered with shot somewhere previously on route and in obvious pain. Many die a lingering death.
On a related issue did you read of the dumping of evidence in the Dyfi River in Wales recently. The perpetrators need bringing to rights, truly despicable behaviour, I’m sure you will agree.

Problems everywhere. Just like foxes from Birmingham being dumped here. We shot 14 n 2 hours recently, some with mange.

I think I can guess what will happen to this despicable person. Another atrocity! When will it end?

We go out into the countryside to enjoy the great outdoors, what drives them?
