A lot of small groups of swallows and house martins going south 4 lots on Saturday and 3 lots yesterday and again today.
WN we had a peregrine falcon being mobbed by swallows last week what a sight.
We have had a lot more starlings about this year on our plot a few years ago we never had any at all.

Visited Saltholme RSPB reserve today.
Nothing spectacular around although we did spend a good 20 minutes or so watching hawking hirundines over the edge of a pond and meadow. All 4 of the normal species on show with at least 6 Swifts, Sand and House Martins and Swallows.

Had a stroll round East Wretham Heath NWT reserve this morning and saw lots of these doughnut sized fungi. Growing in the short, rough grass typical of the reserve. Can anyone identify them please, my fungus identification book is at home. 🙂
