Welcome to all Dog lovers & generally Canine minded Folk. I have started this to enable a Thread to be used-in the Pet section with a title 'I love Dogs' so there will be no problems with attracting the right Posters, and the 'wrong Posters' give it a swerverCool. I am mainly a working Dog Lover, I have had-J/Russells, Retrievers, Lurchers. Currently have 2 White Cockapoo's. Mum & Daughter. Not my kind of Dogs(at first) the OH fell in love with the Breed a year after losing the Retriever. Now I couldn't imagine life without them. You either love Dogs or don't, if you do then life without them really is empty. I feel for the none Dog Folk, not knowing the joys of owning Dogs. But I'm not stupid enough to believe just because I love em everyone should. So if you would like to talk Canine, please be my guestSmile

Well after this mornings walk not sure whether I love my dogs or not, this was Stokes Bay approx 1 hour ago, blowing a gale, freezing rain.....but of course i do, all 3 of us loved splashing about in the puddles, and they love a good rough rub down in the back of the car and a boneo before returning home, might not get a second walk today though unless the weather abates somewhat cool

LULU

Farewell our ever faithful friend and constant companion on our travels.

No longer will we see you on the South Downs way, charging along, ears flapping and at times, all 4 feet off the ground. The Pennine way – no problem, nor were the coastal paths we trod. The caravan will not be the same without you.

We can only hope that you are now pain free and can see the path ahead most clearly as you bound along in search of rabbits or whatever takes your fancy.

Thank you for your company – you will not be forgotten.

(My apologies for being maudlin.)

Absolutely no need to apologise Redface.

I feel for your loss. Losing a faithful and loved companion is never easy. The pain does ease but the good news is that the memories don't. We still have wonderful memories of all of the dogs years after they have passed.

Take care.

Sorry to hear that, RF.

Only a true dog lover would have expressed himself as you have. You and Lulu gave something special to each other. Cherish those memories.
